Welcome to the latest edition of KMaiL, a weekly e-mail update from Kettle Moraine Lutheran High School.

-- NEWS AND INFORMATION –

= BASKETBALL SPIRIT NIGHT =

We would like to invite all KMLHS students, parents, alumni, and grade school students to our second special spirit event basketball game tonight, Friday, January 11, at 7:30 pm. Come wearing your favorite hat or mask like the Kettle Krazies and cheer on the girl’s varsity basketball team to a victory over North Fond du Lac. Finalists in the free throw contest will compete during the 1st and 3rd break. Your dance team will be performing at halftime, followed by the cheerleaders performing their competition routine. We would love to see the stands packed full of KML fans. Go Chargers!

= CLASS OF 2012 INVITED TO BASKETBALL GAME =

Members of the KML Class of 2012 will be our special guests at the varsity boys basketball game against undefeated Laconia this Saturday, January 12 beginning at 7:30 PM. Members of next year's freshmen class will get into the game free, receive a complimentary t-shirt, and participate in some class cheers during the game. Please contact Mr. Zeamer at with any questions.

= SPECIAL EVENT – UWO GAME =

We regret to inform you that UWO will not be able to attend our game on 1/12. Because of recent injuries, and the fact that some athletes have been called to serve in the armed forces, they were not able to change their halftime routine for this Saturday's game. Please keep their team in your thoughts and prayers as they deal with this challenging time. However, we do still have two exiting halftime performances from your KML dance and cheer teams. They would still love to have your support as they perform their competition routines. We will also be raffling off great prize baskets and be handing out some fun giveaways. Most importantly, we need you to help cheer on our boy's basketball team to a victory over Laconia. Go Chargers!

= DANCE TEAM COMPETITION =

The KML Dance Team will be competing at Little Chute High School on Saturday Janaury 12th. The competition starts at 9:30 am, with KML performing at 10:30 am. Also, two ensembles comprised of KML Dance Team members: Stacy Patterson, Katelynn Steinke, and Amy Schwartz as well as Becky Mason, Emily Mason, Ashley Grahl, and Steph Feutz will be competing throughout the day. Greta Gauger will also be performing a solo in the soloist competition. Please join us to cheer and shout for your KML Dance Team!

= CHEER COMPETITIONS =

The KMLHS cheerleaders will be competing at the Bring on the Heat competition on Sunday, January 13th. The competition will be held at Sussex Hamilton High School. Admission is $5 for adults and $3 for students/children. The competition starts at 1:00 PM with awards around 3:50 PM. KML's JV team will perform around 1:15 PM and the varsity team will perform around 2:45 PM. Your support will be appreciated as both teams compete in their second competition of the season. Please keep their safety and success in your thoughts and prayers. To God be the Glory!

= SEMESTER BREAK =

There will be no school on Monday, January 14. This is our semester break. Second semester starts on Tuesday, January 15.
