Welcome to the latest edition of KMaiL, a weekly e-mail update from Kettle Moraine Lutheran High School.

-- NEWS AND INFORMATION --

= CALL NEWS =

KML teacher Jason Walz has returned his call to Wisconsin Lutheran High School and KML teacher Todd Jahns has returned his call to Martin Luther College.  We are thankful that Mr. Walz and Mr. Jahns will be continuing their service to our high school.  May the Lord continue to bless them and their ministries among us.

= OLIVER! =

A very special Fine Arts opportunity is happening at KMLHS next week, March 6-9, 2008.  Our students and staff are currently putting the final touches on our presentation of the musical "Oliver!" and it is OUTSTANDING! There is a professionally designed set that includes a rotating stage, custom costume design, original choreography, a cast of singers from our award-winning music program, a full pit orchestra... I just can't say enough about how God has blessed this production.  Ticket sales are brisk, but there are still tickets available for all performances of Oliver.  To be assured of a seat, order your tickets online at www.kmlhs.org .  Simply go to the "OLIVER!" link in the upper left corner of the website.  If there is anything I can do to make your visit more comfortable please don't hesitate to contact me at mschlome@kmlhs.org . Thanks for all of your support over the years.  I hope you enjoy the show!

= WINTER BREAK =

There will be no school on Friday, March 7.  This is our Winter Break.

= BOYS’ BASKETBALL BANQUET =

The Boys' Basketball Banquet will be held Tuesday, March 4, 2008 at 6pm in the KML cafeteria. Some invitations were sent home from school with the players.  Parents, please ask your son about the invite if you haven't received it.  Parents and players are invited as well as the coaches and their families.  Freshman players are asked to bring a hot main dish of lasagna or other pasta-type casserole, Sophomores are asked to bring a hot main dish of protein - brats, chicken etc., the Juniors are asked to bring a duoble batch of cookies or two pans of bars, and the Seniors are asked to bring two different cold salads - pasta, fruit, or jello etc.  Please make sure your dish will feed 10-15 people as we will be feeding approx. 165 people that night.  To God be the Glory!

= EAST COAST TRIP =

Students going on the East Coast Trip, March 20-29, received a packet of valuable information including the final itinerary, list of hotels and phone numbers, and luggage instructions.  Parents, please ask to receive this packet from your son/daughter so that you are informed regarding the trip.  Direct any questions to Dorothy Martin or Jerry Zeamer in student services.

= 2008-2009 DANCE TEAM TRYOUTS =

Do you know someone who wants to be a member of the KML Dance Team? If so, there is a mandatory information meeting on Sunday April 6th at 6pm in the KML cafeteria.  Tryouts will then be held on April 7, 9, and 10th from 5-7:30pm.
