Welcome to the latest edition of KMaiL, a weekly e-mail update from
Kettle Moraine Lutheran High School.
-- NEWS AND INFORMATION –
= CALL NEWS =
On March 24, the KML
General Board
ratified the
one year Call
that the Board of Directors extended to
Mrs.Nelson to serve in the areas of Spanish and English for the
2008-2009 school year. The
General Board also
extended a Call to Mr. James Neujahr of Fox Valley Lutheran High School
to serve as band director.
Finally, the General Board has asked to have a graduate from Martin
Luther College assigned to KML as choral director.
The MLC assignments will take place on May 17.
Please keep Mrs.
Nelson and Mr. Neujahr in your prayers as they deliberate these calls.
Also keep the WELS Assignment Committee and the 2008 graduates of
MLC in your prayers as they prepare for MLC’s assignment day.
KML MUSICIANS UNITE IN MICHIGAN
Fifteen of KMLHS' top
musicians joined with other teens from around the country to make music
together at the WELS Regional Band Festival held at Huron Valley
Lutheran High School in Westland, Michigan. The event required many
hours of rehearsal, travel, and commitment, but students involved say it
was worth it. This year's clinician, Professor Bianchi, Director of
Bands at Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan, was a hit among
the students and he claims it was the best group of musicians he has
ever worked with at a band festival. We thank the Lord for these young
people and the talent that they have developed over their years here at
KMLHS.
