-- NEWS AND INFORMATION –

= CALL NEWS =
   Mr. James Neujahr has returned our call to serve KML as band instructor. We pray that the Lord would continue to bless his ministry at Fox Valley Lutheran. KML’s General Board will place another call for a band instructor at a call meeting on April 21, at 6:00 pm.   

= BLOOD DRIVE =
   A Blood Drive will be held at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, 777 Indiana Ave, West Bend, Monday April 14, from 2-7 pm.  As you know, blood donations are in great demand at this time.  To register for a time slot, please call the Good Shepherd Church office at 262-334-7881.  Give the gift of life!

= LUNCH MENU PRICE CHANGES =

   As of Monday, April 14, the cost of main dishes in the cafeteria will increase by 25 cents. We have tried to hold off price increases as long as possible, but the food expenses are rising and our cafeteria budget is strained. We are sorry for the inconvenience this increase may cause. Please be aware that the cafeteria is supported by the overall operating budget of the KML ministry.

= PERCUSSION ENSEMBLE CONCERT =

   The KML Percussion Ensemble will present a joint concert with students from Lakeside Lutheran High School at KML on Friday, April 18, at 7:30pm.

= AN EVENING OF “ITALIAN” JAZZ =

   Come see your entire jazz program in one concert and enjoy a spaghetti dinner at the same time on Saturday, April 19. Tickets for the meal are $7 for adults and $5 for children 12 and under. The dinner will be served from 5 - 6 pm and the music will start at 5:30. This event will be in the cafeteria at Kettle Moraine Lutheran High School. Tickets sold at the door.

= GAMES POSTPONED AND CANCELLED =

  Due to the unpredictable and currently wet Spring weather, track meets, golf matches, baseball games, softball games and girls’ soccer games are frequently postponed or cancelled.  Many times these changes happen with less than a day’s notice.  Check KML’s calendar online by clicking on the links at the bottom of the page at www.kmlhs.org/calendar .  If you register with High School Sports, the company that provides our calendar, you will have the option to be notified of these changes via email as they happen.

= NEED AN IDEA FOR MOTHERS’ DAY OR FATHERS’ DAY? =

   Are you wondering what to get Mom and Dad for Mother's Day and Father's Day? It can be hard to find the perfect gift for Mom or Dad. What do they really need that they don't already have? They have given so much to you in time, love, and support, but how can you show that you are truly grateful? May we make a suggestion? Make a donation to KMLHS in their honor! Your parents will receive a special card acknowledging your tribute to them, and a list of all the gifts will be posted in the June Communique and Caring. Donations must be received at KML by May 1 so that we can include your parents in a special recognition in our publications. = FINAL CALL - SPRINGTIME IN PARIS – 10TH ANNUAL KML AUCTION =

   Reservations are still being accepted the 10th Annual KML Auction for a little longer. If you would like to attend this fun event on April 26, please submit your reservation as soon as possible. Reservation forms can be submitted on-line at www.kmlhs.org/charity_auction !
