-- NEWS AND INFORMATION --
= CHORAL PROGRAM PRESENTS
CHRISTMAS CONCERT =
The Choral Program will present its annual Christmas Concert on
Saturday, December 15 at 7:00 PM.
The concert, entitled “Traditions and Carols,” features the 153
voices in the two choral ensembles, several selections with orchestra,
and many familiar Christmas melodies in a variety of settings.
No tickets are required.
A freewill offering will be gathered.
Mark your calendars and don’t miss what is certain to be a
memorable and festive evening.
= PRINCESS FOR A DAY =
Are you looking for an extra hand this holiday season? Wouldn’t it be
great to have someone to watch your little ones while you do some
holiday shopping, wrap some presents, or just take some time to relax?
Let the Kettle Moraine Lutheran High School Dance team take care of your
daughter(s) for an afternoon! On Sunday, December 16, from 1:00-4:00pm
the Kettle Moraine Lutheran Dance Team will host “Princess For A Day”,
an activity that will allow your 4 year old through 3rd graders to have
a princess party- complete with snacks, dancing, mini-makeovers, and
crafts! The cost is only $12 per princess. Registration forms will be
made available at your local grade schools or you can contact Holly
Mason at 262-675-2048 or
sevenofus214@aol.com or call Gail Gauger at 262-677-2157 to reserve
your spot. We’ll play with your princess while you pamper yourself- take
advantage and register today!
= CHARGERWEAR FOR CHRISTMAS =
Don't forget to get those
favorite people on your list the gift of Chargerwear this Christmas!
The Chargerwear store is open 24 hours a day online at
www.kmlhs.org/store.
Chargerwear is also sold at most home games and will be available
during freshman registration on December 10.
=SEMESTER EXAMS =
Semester exams are
scheduled for December 18, 19, and 20. It is vitally important that the
students prepare well for these tests. The exams have a significant
impact on semester grades, and these grades remain as part of a
student’s permanent records. So that students’ study time can be most
effective, the exams are taken on half-days. The exam schedule is as
follows:
* Tuesday, December
18: Periods 1, 2, and 3
(7:40 – 12:05; bus
pick-up at 12:15)
* Wednesday, December
19: Periods 4, 5, and 6
(7:40 – 12:05; bus
pick-up at 12:15)
* Thursday, December
20: Periods 7 and 8
(7:40 – 10:55; bus
pick-up at 11:15)
(Please note the
earlier ending time on Thursday)
Buses will run to and
from school on each day of exams. Johnson Bus Company will drop students
off only at Good Shepherd with no shuttles available. In the case of a
snow day, Friday, December 21, will be used as the necessary extra day.
If a snow day does occur, regardless of which day, we will follow the
schedule above in that the first day of exams will be for periods 1 – 3,
the second day of exams will be for periods 4 – 6, and the third day of
exams will be for periods 7 and 8.
= CHRISTMAS BREAK =
KML will not be in
session from December 21 through January 2, and the school office will
be closed during that time as well. School resumes on Thursday, January
3.
= KML’S CONCERT CHOIR FEATURED ON CHRISTMAS CD =
The Concert Choir was again a featured artist on the 2007 “A Threshold
to Christmas” CD. The
Threshold, a non-profit organization in West Bend, raises money each
year by releasing a CD featuring local artists.
This year marks Concert Choir’s third consecutive contribution to
this album. CD’s are $10 and
currently available through the school office.
The Choral Program receives $1 for each for CD sold.
Consider taking advantage of this great gift idea.
= GRADE SCHOOL DANCE CAMP =
On Sunday, January
6th, 2008 the KML Dance Team will be hosting their 2008 Dance Camp at
KML. From 1-4pm, your 5-8th grade girls will have the opportunity to
learn a routine that they will perform with the dance team at the KML
home basketball game on Friday, January 11th! The girls will also learn
several sideline dances as well have the opportunity to work on
technique. To register, please visit the dance team website or contact
Coach Krista Kuber (262-384-0102 / Krista@accordmfg.com). This is a
great opportunity to learn more about dance and have the opportunity to
perform in front of family and friends at a KML game…registration is due
by December 22nd. Sign up today!
