2009 KMLHS GRADE SCHOOL CHEER & DANCE COMPETITION
We are excited to host our annual grade school cheer and dance competition on Saturday, February 21st, 2009. This year, depending on the number entries, we will be offering subdivisions of the cheer and dance categories based on age and squad size. We are again offering two panels of judges to increase the pace of the competition. In addition to the 40x40 matted competition cheer floor, we will also be providing a matted cheer floor in the warm-up area. We hope you and your team will consider attending our fun, low stress competition. For more information check out the links at the bottom of this page, or please contact Amy Nass at

for 4-8th grade students on Saturday, November 22nd. The KML Cheerleaders
and Staff extend their thanks to everyone that attended. We hope to see you
at our summer camp in June, or at next year's day clinic on Saturday,
November 21st, 2009. For more information or questions, please contact Amy

THE KMLHS CHEERLEADERS GO TO CAMP!
Both teams had a fun, tiring, successful experience at the UCA
Elite Camp at NIU; they kept positive attitudes and worked hard each day.
They definitely made the "Lutheran" in KML stand out by their words and
actions. The coaches would like to extend their thanks to the teams for
following the rules and letting "their light shine" throughout the camp.
Each team was allowed to have up to six athletes tryout for the UCA
all-star team. Ashley I., Shannon, Hallie and Holly were the JV participants
and Ariel, Danielle, Caity, Jesi, Sara and Lauren were the varsity
participants. We are proud to announce that the following KML cheerleaders
were chosen as 2008 UCA All-Stars: Ariel, Danielle, Caity, Jesi and Sara. To
God be the Glory! The teams also worked hard to perfect a cheer and Xtreme
routine that was evaluated in front of the camp each night. On the final
day, both teams elected to compete in the Camp Champs competition. Of all
the teams there, our two teams were amongst the smallest, both in squad size
and definitely in school size. Both teams preformed to the best of their
ability and made their coaches very proud! In addition to the awards, Jesi
and Sara both received a signed staff application. Out of about 300 campers,
only about a half a dozen athletes received signed applications. Whether or
not they choose to tryout for a staff position, it is an honor to receive
this application. To God be the Glory!

2008 GRADE SCHOOL CHEER CAMP
We would like to thank all the grade school
athletes that attended our grade school camp in June. We had over 100
participants learn cheers, dances, tumbling and stunts. All the
campers were placed into "big sister" groups, coached by KML cheerleaders.
They worked hard to perfect a routine choreographed by their big sister. On
the last day, the did a phenomenal job performing these routines for their
family and friends. Look for 2009 dates to be posted in February.
KMLHS CHEERLEADERS WIN STATE CHAMPIONSHIP!
