CHILDREN'S THEATER Advisor-Mr.
David Deibert
KML's Children's Theater has two primary functions. The
first is to provide high school students with an opportunity to be part of
a live theater production. Children's theater makes use of acting ability
and stage skills such as scenery design, makeup, and costuming to produce
a biennial production. The second purpose is to be part of the
recruitment process for the Federation's youngest members. Each
Children's Theater production is performed for elementary students in the
Federation as a way to introduce them to our
Lutheran High School. Any
KML student who is committed enough to follow the instructions of the
director; who can make rehearsals, work sessions, and performances; and
who shows an aptitude for theater is welcome to join. Assistant Director
is Mrs. Becky Wierschem.
EQUESTRIAN Advisor-
Kate Schaffer
The Equestrian staff is responsible for producing the KML
yearbook. The staff will meet once a month during the first semester and
once a week during the second semester to assemble the yearbook. Students
need to be willing to learn and work hard throughout the year. There are
high standards in print journalism, so student work will be evaluated,
edited, and constructively criticized. Yearbook provides an excellent
opportunity for students to learn and to showcase their abilities as they
have fun working alongside their peers.
FORENSICS Advisor
- Mr. David Deibert
The Forensics Team belongs to two state organizations which
organize and support forensic competition. The Wisconsin High School
Forensic Association (WHSFA) supports subdistrict and district competition
that determines individual qualifiers for the state meet in
Madison

Association (WFCA) and attend meets hosted by them. The KML team competes
for the Parkland Conference team championship. Forensics offers students
the opportunity to develop and improve their speech making, acting, and
oral interpretation skills. Coaches are Mr. David Deibert, Mr. Gerald
Henckel, and Mrs. Debbie Boeldt.
MUSICAL Advisors
- Mr. Matt Schlomer and Mr. Mike Goede
The KML Musical is a biennial effort that brings together the

Southeastern Wisconsin
region. KML students may participate as singer/actors, chorus members,
orchestra, stage crew, artists, costumers, and makeup artists. Technical
services are provided by the Sound and Light Crew. As with any full-scale
production the Musical requires a serious commitment on the part of its
members. A production schedule is distributed in advance so that students
can plan for this commitment. The next musical will be presented in
2007-08, with auditions taking place in May 2007.
VIDEO YEARBOOK

The goal of cross trainers is a peer mentoring group that will help

about leadership styles and how to lead by positive Christian example,
positive interaction, and interpersonal assessment. Cross Trainers will
be asked to assess the school climate and then to plan for positive ways
to change negative attitudes or actions within the student body. Cross
trainers goal is to also help with any new students entering KML as well
as foreign exchange students. A training session(s) will be provided
before the beginning of each school year. Occasional meetings will be

NATIONAL HONOR SOCIETY
Advisor - Mr. Dan Sievert
In order to qualify for
consideration for the National Honor Society, a student must earn a
cumulative GPA of at least 3.3 through 4 semesters of high school work.
Selection to the National Honor Society is then based on contributions
that the student has made in the areas of character, service, leadership,
and scholarship. The National Honor Society meets regularly during the
school year. Its activities revolve around service. The group regularly
conducts 2 blood drives every school year. It runs a coat check at
selected school activities. Other service activities may well come up
during the course of the school year. It is expected that each member
will be involved in at least 5 service projects during the year.
STUDENT COUNCIL Advisor-
Pastor Randall Hughes
Student Council is an organization of students, voted into
their positions by their fellow class mates and assessed through personal
interviews. Once a student becomes a student council representative or an
officer, each person has various responsibilities. Each representative
becomes a member of one of the 3 homecoming committees (decoration,
activities and royalty). Each member is assigned to our standing
committees (auction, dance, elections, missions & charity, snow-coming &
star search). Two student council representatives will be elected
internally to the offices of class president and vice president. The
purpose of the student council is to represent their classes in a positive
Christian manner concerning issues that are relative to the student body.
The two main focal points for student council are student government and
planning for organized Christian activities. Student Council seeks to
educate the members in parliamentary procedure, in actively running
meetings and in planning and carrying out plans and responsibilities. In
this way we hope to facilitate in helping young men and women become
better Christian leaders for church and community. The Student Council
will have a weekend planning retreat in the spring.
