KML’s annual Community Electronics Recycling Event will be held on Saturday, May 20, from 10:00 AM-2:00 PM. This is an opportunity for all to dispose of unused and broken electronic equipment in an environmentally responsible way.   • There is a charge for ALL televisions (including flat screens):
    • $25 each (cash) for most TVs
    • $40 each (cash) for projection TVs, console TVs, and bare TV tubes
  • $10 each (cash) for CRT computer monitors (no charge for flat screen monitors)

Mrs. Marquardt

Mrs. April Marquardt, KML voice instructor, has accepted a call to teach Spanish at St. Croix Lutheran Middle School, West St. Paul, MN, beginning next school year. We wish Mrs. Marquardt and her family God's blessings at St. Croix!


Jahns, Todd
Mr. Jahns

Mr. Todd Jahns, current P. E. and health instructor at KML, has received a call to be the Director of Health Services and teach in the Exercise Science Department at Wisconsin Lutheran College in Milwaukee, WI.


Mr. Thomas Hansen, an instructor at St. Croix Lutheran High School, West St. Paul, MN, has returned the call to teach English and oversee the KML drama department.

Auf Nach Deutschland! (Let's Go to Germany!)


KML is excited to announce that plans for our next trip to Germany and Austria are underway! During the summer of 2018, we will be hosting a 14-day tour of Germany and Austria with visits to Berlin, Wittenberg, Rothenburg, Neuschwanstein, Salzburg, Heidelberg, and the Rhein River region. Everyone is welcome to join us—students as well as adults! The tour will be led by Mr. Wes Schmandt, KML German instructor. This will be the 13th trip to Germany for KML. We would love to have you join us! If you are interested in more detailed information, contact Mr. Schmandt ( An informational meeting will be held at KML on Wednesday, May 17, at 7:00 PM.
