Student Literary Accomplishments

Perspectives Students

Each school year the East Central Conference High Schools produce a literary magazine called Perspectives, celebrating the creative writing of students from each school in the conference. KML had the privilege of hosting this event for the first time on May 17. Fourteen students (12 pictured above) represented KML this year. What an exciting experience to collaborate with other schools and share the talents with which God has blessed these young adults! View the magazine in the KML main office, or purchase your own copy online.

Call News

The WELS Conference of Presidents has assigned Mrs. Megan Plocher to KML for one year to teach English and work with the drama department. Mrs. Plocher taught for one year at Michigan Lutheran High School, St. Joseph, MI, and is married to a vicar currently serving in Georgia. She and her husband will be returning to Wisconsin in August when she will join the KML faculty and her husband will begin his final year at Wisconsin Lutheran Seminary, Mequon, WI.

Lindner, Joshua
Mr. Lindner

Mr. Joshua Lindner was also assigned by the Conference of Presidents to teach English at KML beginning next school year (new position). Mr. Lindner was a mid-year graduate from Martin Luther College, New Ulm, MN, and has been working in the Learning Center and teaching English and math part-time at KML since January 2017. We’re glad to have Mr. Lindner as a permanent member of our faculty.

 Jahns, Todd
Mr. Jahns

Mr. Todd Jahns, current P. E. and health instructor at KML, has accepted the call he received to be the Director of Health Services and teach in the Exercise Science Department at Wisconsin Lutheran College in Milwaukee, WI. Mr. Jahns will continue to coach KML varsity boys basketball next year. God's blessings to Mr. Jahns as he begins his new role at WLC!

Mr. Travis Kretsch, a recent Martin Luther College graduate, has been assigned to teach at KML for one year, filling the empty position left by Mr. Jahns' departure. We welcome Mr. Kretsch to KML!

Miss Schaffer

Art and English instructor, Miss Kate Schaffer, has resigned her full-time call at KML in order to pursue teaching at the college level. Miss Schaffer will most likely remain as a part-time art instructor at KML for the 2017-2018 school year. We wish her God's blessings as her teaching career heads in a new direction.

How Can We Help?

“How can we help?” can be comforting words, especially when you are lost or uncertain. This can be especially true when talking about estate planning, so we are here to help you in a very practical way.

As part of KML’s E3 Summer Academy, we are offering four free workshops on various estate planning topics. We have a non-stressful workshop for those who have not yet started on a plan, two presentations on estate-planning tools which can provide great benefits for you and your loved ones, and a special presentation titled Protecting Your Assets. The dates for this series are June 13, 14, 20, and 21, and we start each evening at 6:30. For more information or to RSVP, contact Mr. Paul Snamiska (262-677-4051 x1116;, or go to
