Ways to Support KMLHS
 |
As
a non-profit organization, Kettle Moraine Lutheran High
School relies
heavily upon donations from people who recognize the wonderful
opportunity that exists in Christian schools such as ours.
“Empowered
by God’s Word, Kettle Moraine Lutheran High School educates,
encourages, and equips God’s people for life and for eternity.”
That is our mission, and through your prayers and support,
you are a valuable part in carrying out that mission.
Thank you.

Prayers
Prayer
is the most important “fragrant offering” we can sacrifice to God. We
ask you to spend special minutes in your day to pray for God’s blessing
on your Kettle Moraine Lutheran High School.
Pray for our students and their families. Pray for our faculty and
staff.
James
5:16
“The prayer of a righteous man is powerful and
effective.”

Memorial /
Honorarium
Many
families choose to let the faith of a departed loved one shine as an
example to others through the memorial offering.
Special events such as anniversaries, baptisms, confirmations,
graduations, and birthdays can also be honored through a gift. These
events will be recognized in publications of Kettle Moraine Lutheran High
School.

Recurring
Gifts through Simply Giving *
*
Simply Giving is a program offered at no cost by Thrivent Financial for
Lutherans.
By
completing the simple registration form to set up a pre-authorized
withdrawal from your bank account, you determine the frequency, size, and
purpose of your automatic gift with the knowledge that you are supporting
quality Christian education. Your
monthly donation provides a steady income for KML, and we all know that
any amount multiplied over the months will provide an even greater amount
of support to strengthen and support the ministry at Kettle Moraine
Lutheran High School. Your
gift is an action of love on behalf of future generations that will sit in
our classrooms and grow in God’s grace.

Macedonian
Circle
The
Macedonian Circle provides significant gifts in support of the
school’s operating budget and building campaign.
Members make three or five year pledges indicating their area
of support for KML.
Long-term pledges for the People and
Programs (operating budget) of KML allow us to create a better
strategy for a growing ministry to our Federation and teenagers.
Your long-term pledge to the Facility Expansion (capital)
will help the Federation pay for the expanded building much faster
than a mortgage. You
get to decide how much your pledge will be. More importantly, you
decide how your gifts will be used. Beyond the regular tax
advantages, the joy of using God’s bounty for building his kingdom
will grow with a “Circle” of fellow believers.

Gifts
Thrivent

$300! (Donors must be 16 years or older.)
A special
bonus is given to volunteers at KML. Members who volunteer 25 or more
hours may increase their financial gift to an additional $25. Thrivent

Giving

Estate Planning through your will or through living trust is a God
pleasing example of love for those who are important to you even
after the Lord has taken you home. You can protect God’s earthly
gifts from government taxes and probate courts simply by having a
detailed will. For many a living trust is the best option.
Charitable Gift Annuities can be established to help you
fulfill the goal of “dying broke.” It remains a popular giving
tool that has long appealed to donors. Through a gift annuity,
donors give cash or stock to a ministry in return for lifetime fixed
income payments that are based on age--the older the donor, the
larger the payment. Even after lifetime payments to donors, a
ministry like KML is still left with a good portion of the original
gift for expansion of the ministry. |
 |
Life Insurance policies can be purchased that name KML as a
beneficiary. You donate the yearly premiums to maintain a small or large
policy. The gift of the premiums is much smaller than the possible gift
after death. You would be surprised how big a gift can be given for a
small yearly premium!
(Click
here for more information: How a small gift becomes huge)
Stocks & Mutual Funds transactions are easy to make. It
may offer even more benefits to you and to KML than a cash gift. In some
cases, making a charitable contribution using an appreciated asset can
help you accomplish your personal goals as well as exercise your
charitable spirit. A transaction can be done electronically directly to
KML.

Adopting a Tuition shows kindness to a family that is
committed to Christian education but financially is challenged. You
could help pay for the education of a future pastor, teacher,
doctor, business owner, or other leader in the community!
You
can be a matching gift partner!
If the Lord has blessed you with considerable financial
resources you can make a gift that will inspire others to give what
they are able. Every dollar raised up to a specific amount by a
certain time can be doubled by your generosity. Your gift could
match dollars donated for the “Walking the PATH Together” debt
reduction! |
Gifts
of Appreciated Property - Give
this gift to KML and escape the capital gain tax while receiving an income
tax deduction. You also remove that asset from your estate, thereby
reducing your potential estate tax burden.
Charitable
Remainder Trust (CRT) - Need
a security blanket? CRTs work particularly well with appreciating assets,
and can be used with stock in a family owned business or real estate. No
income tax is imposed on the remaining value of the trust, and you get a
current income tax deduction. As a result, you obtain the tax benefits
while postponing the date when the charity receives the gift.
Charitable
Lead Trust (CLT)- A CLT is the flip side. Give the charity the use of the asset and the
right to the income generated for a period of years. Then, the asset can
revert back to you, or go to whomever you choose. This can be
income-producing stocks and bonds or other valuable items. You get a
current income tax deduction for the value given to the charity (but the
trust pays income tax on its income).
