Purpose:
The KML Friends/Founders exists
to promote and support Christian secondary education through Kettle
Moraine Lutheran High School. In the promotion and support of Christian
secondary education, the KML Friends/Founders will:
1.
insure
the guardianship of the rich heritage and the many blessings in KML’s
past;
2.
provide
opportunities for renewed friendships for past members of the KML family
and those currently establishing such friendships as members of this
family;
3.
through
special programs and projects provide support to insure the continued
operation of a quality secondary Christ-centered education at KML
affordable for all who desire it;
4.
to
promote, whenever the opportunity presents itself, the blessings of the
“partnership with families and congregation” enabling today’s teens
to meet tomorrow’s challenges as God’s people.
Membership:
Membership is open to all members
within the KML Federation and others interested in supporting the special
needs of KML and willing to pay the annual membership fee.
Future membership opportunities:
Charter Chapter:
Membership restricted to alumni
parents and those directly involved in the establishment of KML in its
beginning.
360 Chapter:
Membership established when
pledges are made according to the financial requirements of the Chapter.
Functions:
All functions and programs of the
KML Friends/Founders will be governed by and within the parameters of the
Constitution of the KML Federation. The operation of the KML
Friends/Founders will:
1.
establish
a “coordinating panel” of five along with the Development Director to
direct and coordinate the operations and programs of the KML Friends/Founders;
2.
host
the annual dinner meeting of the KML Friends/Founders
to provide the opportunity for
fellowship, afford special recognition of an individual or individuals who
provided a special service for KML, and to report to the membership the
progress of the KML Friends/Founders
program;
3.
annually
select a “special project” to benefit KML to be made by the membership
at the annual dinner meeting;
4.
host
periodic “awareness events” (brunches, luncheons, etc.) to promote the
programs of KML and Christian secondary education;
5.
develop
materials and procedures to meet annual membership goals;
6.
conduct
quarterly mailings to be sent to the membership updating them on the
progress of the current project and providing an opportunity to assist
with the project;
7.
make
an annual membership donation of $100 per couple, or $50 per person.
