PVC XYLOPHONE AND DRUMBONE

Text Box: This exhibit consists of two instruments, the drumbone and PVC Xylophone. Both instruments use sound wave properties to generate music. The drumbone tubes slide in and out like a trombone, but you hit it with sticks like a drum. As the total length increases and decreases, different tones can be produced. The Xylophone works on the same principle. The tube lengths are computed based on their frequency and each one produces a unique pitch when hit. You can click on the links to find out more. Have fun!
