KMLHS Fine Arts

KMLHS strives to provide an opportunity for every student in the arts.  Almost half of the school enrolls in one of our 4 performance classes (2 choirs and 2 bands)!  What better way to praise our Savior than with the power of expression that the arts provides.  If you have any questions please contact the Fine Arts Department Chair at mschlome@kmlhs.org

KML's Fine Arts Department is pleased to announce the beginning of its 2007‑2008 Fine Arts Series.  Each month KML will feature one of its music ensembles or a guest performer.  The four guest recitals will be "pay what you want" and open to the community.

Our next recital is Flutist Cindy Solfest-Wallis and pianist Juanita Becker performing music for flute, alto flute, piccolo, or Baroque flute and piano or harpsichord on Thursday September 13 at 7:00 pm.  The program includes Alec Wilder's Sonata No. 1 for Flue (as well as piccolo and alto flute) and piano; Frank Martin's Ballade for flute and piano; Charles M. Widor’s Suite op. 32 for flute and piano.  Aaron Copland's Duo for Flute and Piano will complete the program.

The recital takes place at 3399 Division Road (1/2 mile south of Hwy 60 on Hwy G). The evening is a "Pay What You Want" event and open to all members of the public. For more information, contact Michael Goede (262) 677-4051.
