.5 credit 1 semester (Elective Gr. 10-12)

Prerequisite:  C in Art 1 and Art 2

An elective one-semester course subject to approval by the instructor and availability of space in the classroom (may be taken as an independent study during another Art course's meeting time).  This course aims to stretch students' creativity and understanding of various media.  Students will be completing four projects with flexible guidelines.  Students will complete a pre-project paper that describes the intended outcome of each work as well as the techniques, history, and examples of the media chosen.  An emphasis will be placed on preparation of a  portfolio for entrance into a visual arts school.  Art 3 may be repeated for credit upon approval of the instructor.
