Mr. Schlomer is in his 10th year as the Fine Arts Department Chair and Director of Bands at Kettle Moraine Lutheran High School in Jackson, Wisconsin. He graduated Summa Cum Laude from the University of Colorado at Boulder with a Bachelor's Degree in Music Education in 1995 and the Medaille d'Or in Saxophone Performance from the Conservatoire Nationale in Bordeaux, France where he studied with Jean Marie Londeix in 1994. As an active member of the Milwaukee music community, he has created an annual area brass festival, woodwind festival, and a high school honor band that travels internationally. He is also co-founder of Soli Deo Gloria Institute of the Arts, a non-profit organization dedicated to the use of the arts in worship. Mr. Schlomer has a deep passion for conducting and has studied with Allan McMurray, H. Robert Reynolds, Mallory Thompson, Jerry Junkin, Michael Haithcock, and Glenn Adsit. He is an active member of the College Band Directors National Association, National Band Association, and Music Educator's National Conference. He enjoys reading, back country camping, traveling, skiing, and golfing.
