The Concert Choir is the premier
choral ensemble at KML and among the top high school choirs in
southeast Wisconsin. Comprised of 54-60 auditioned singers, the
Concert Choir upholds the highest standard of choral art while using
their gifts to serve God. Recent highlights include:
*Receiving an invitation to perform at the 2008
Wisconsin Choral Directors Association State Convention in Madison,
Wisconsin. This marks the first time in school history the
program has received such an honor.
*A unanimous first-place rating at
the 2007 Wisconsin School Music Association Choral Festival held in
Milwaukee, WI. One clinician stated, "A wonderfully sensitive
and musical performance. There are not many choirs better than
you in this state." This marked the sixth consecutive top rating
for the ensemble.
*Advancing to the
national level of an audition process for a performance at the 2008
National MENC Convention.
*Two featured tracks on a local
Christmas CD. The Concert Choir was the only high school
choral ensemble to receive this honor.
*A sold out performance at the
Schauer Arts and Activities Center in Hartford, WI. This
concert also featured Kantorei and the KML Wind Ensemble.
*Completing its annual KML Sunday
tour through ten Federation churches. The choir led a worship
service entitled, "A Pilgrim's Journey."
