KML has installed several systems to help conserve energy.

  • High-efficiency fluorescent lighting in both gymnasiums
  • Motion sensitive lighting in many classrooms and restrooms
  • A kiosk in our cafeteria that monitors energy use 24/7
  • All CRT monitors have been replaced with high-efficiency flat panel displays

 

In addition, students in AP Environmental Science have done energy audits of the building, looking for additional ways to conserve energy.
