Kettle Moraine Lutheran High School

Educating for life and for eternity

Environmental Classroom PDF Print E-mail

Under the guidance of KML teacher Tom Mellon, work began in 1994 to develop an outdoor environmental classroom in the school's wetlands.  The environmental classroom was dedicated on September 30, 1995.  Consisting of several ponds, wetlands, and prairie areas planted with native vegetation, the environmental classroom is used as a living laboratory by students in Biology and AP Environmental Science courses.  Paths criss-cross the environmental classroom, opening it to exploration by visitors to the campus, nature lovers, and even our cross-country team.
