= CHEERLEADING NEWS =

One of our cheerleaders, Kayla Wisniewski, has received a WACPC (Wisconsin Association of Cheer and Pom Coaches) Scholarship.  This scholarship is based on academic achievement, extracurricular involvement, volunteer work and a personal essay indicating how cheer or dance has impacted your life.  Kayla was one of only 5 students in the state chosen to receive this scholarship.  Congratulations Kayla!

Three of the four seniors on our cheer squad will be taking a step into the world of collegiate cheer at Wisconsin Lutheran Colleger, UW Oshkosh and Lakeland College.  God has blessed this group of seniors with amazing talent, and we are proud they are using these gifts in this new arena.  They will, in a small way, share the experiences and time they have spent on our KML team with their new college team.  To God be the Glory!

= TRACK BANQUET =

The end of the year track banquet will be on Monday, June 2, at 6 pm.  It will be a pot-luck meal.  Track athletes have received additional information about the banquet.

= GRADE SCHOOL CHEERLEADING CAMP =

The award winning KMLHS Cheer and Stunt Team will be conducting its annual grade school cheerleading camp June 3-6.  This camp is designed for girls entering 1st through 8th grades.  The cheerleaders will be divided into 3 groups; 1st‑3rd grades, 4th‑6th grades, and 7th & 8th grades. Each group will work at their skill level.  All cheerleading skills will be taught including cheers, jumps, stunts, dance, and tumbling.  During the week there will be theme days, team building games, and spirit awards. On the last day of camp we will have a performance for parents and an awards ceremony. Awards will be given in each level.  Each girl will receive a camp T‑shirt if registered by 5/21.  Registration forms are available at www.kmlhs.org/camps, at our cheerleading link or by contacting Amy Nass at amy.y.nass@gasai.com.

= ATHEISM VS. CHRISTIANITY =

Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in West Bend invites you to a special Bible presentation titled “Atheism vs. Christianity.” scheduled for Monday June 16.  The guest speaker will be Scott Burns, a WELS Lutheran, who has spoken on this topic at other churches and received great reviews.  He has a lot of insights on atheism, having dealt extensively with an individual, who was an atheist, and has now become a Christian.  This presentation can help us understand how atheists think, the arguments they rely on, and how we can witness to them for Christ.  Young people who will be exposed to atheist philosophies in their schooling will also find this presentation useful.  Mark this date on your calendar and make plans to attend.  Good Shepherd is located at 777 Indiana Avenue in West Bend and their phone number is (262) 334-7881.
