Let’s Chat, Alumnus to Alumni

I’m a 2003 KML graduate. A few years out of high school, I never looked back. Don’t get me wrong – I was beyond grateful that out of all the schools I could have attended, God graciously blessed my parents with the ability to send me to Kettle.

But let’s be realistic. Once you step out into the “real” world after four years of high school, everything is so sparkly and exciting. There are new people to meet, new places to see, and your life seems like a blank canvas begging you to paint on it.

But God placed you here at KML for those critical high school years, and God’s Word has always fearlessly and unapologetically been the focus in these halls every single day. God’s Word is the consistent connection that is the glue which bonds us all together as one big KML family.

Now that I work at Kettle as the Marketing, Alumni, and Event Coordinator, I get to see first-hand the amazing impact God has on all these students and families through KML.

You may have left KML, but KML is still with you. Let’s reconnect.

Alumni Presenters Needed

KML offers an annual Career Day for the junior class. This event usually takes place in the fall. The purpose of Career Day is to give those students an opportunity to explore various occupations. Juniors will attend pre-selected career presentations given by people who actually work in these fields, providing a chance to ask questions about specific careers. This day is NOT meant to entertain, provide college information, or job shadowing possibilities, but it IS intended to give general information on specific careers and perhaps open the possibility of additional career alternatives. We try to schedule a good balance of career options – some hands-on, some computer-related, various medical occupations, etc.

Alumni, do you think your current career would be of interest to our junior class? If you are willing to be a presenter or are interested in more information about this event, please contact Mrs. Becky Kemnitz (262.677.4051 x4074; becky.kemnitz@kmlhs.org).
