Let’s Grow Together Campaign Update

We’re excited to announce that just one year into our two-year Let’s Grow Together campaign we’ve met our anonymous donor’s challenge of 1400 donors and 150 alumni donors who have contributed to the campaign! God is good! Thank you!

God’s blessings are abundant, and we continue to respond to those blessings together as the KML family. Reaching these aggressive goals signifies that our vision for the future of KML is moving forward at record speed, a future which includes God’s blessings of continued enrollment growth as well as expanded facilities.

As we approach the halfway point of the campaign, we have raised approximately half of our $10 million goal. We invite you to join us in offering prayers of thanks for the1400 donors as well as the nearly $5 million already committed to the project.

$4.87M as of May 11, 2023

THANK YOU!

Goal: $10M by June 30, 2024

We now pray that God will bless us through your continued support to hit the $10 million goal in this coming second year. We ask you to prayerfully consider a special Let’s Grow Together gift at this time which will advance KML’s goal of offering a Christ-centered education to more teens.

The time is now. Let’s Grow Together!

Host an International Student in 2023-24

KML is seeking families to host international students for the 2023-2024 school year. The number of host families that we have available determines the number of international student applications we will be able to accept. In exchange for a stipend of $750/month, host families provide housing, meals, and transportation from early to mid-August through the end of the school year.

KML’s international students are required to have a high-level of English fluency, but they may at first struggle to communicate. Many of them experience American culture for the first time when they come to KML, and our foods and customs may take them time to get used to. Host families need to be patient, understanding, and open-minded about the addition of an international student to their family.

Applications for hosting for the 2023-2024 school year need to be submitted by May 25, 2023. If you are interested in serving as a host family, please visit kmlhs.org/hostfamily for more information.

A second event is scheduled for Wednesday, June 21, from 6:00-7:15 PM. This workshop at KML is designed to be hands-on and will equip all attendees to make significant progress on their own plan. This event is also free, but attendance is limited and pre-registration is required. Contact Paul Snamiska (paul.snamiska@kmlhs.org) to register.

Miriam’s Walk for Life

To help with the planning process, event organizers are looking for an estimate of attendees. Please consider filling out the interest survey at tinyurl.com/walk4life23. (By doing so, you are not obligated to attend.) Thank you!

Miriam Kremer was a KML senior who strongly supported the mission of WELS Lutherans for Life until she went home to heaven in November 2022 after a three-year battle with leukemia.

From the President’s Pen

Dear KML Family,

Recognition Week has given us the opportunity to pay tribute to our seniors for their achievements in academics, scholarships, fine arts, athletics, and other activities. It is a reminder of the amazing gifts and abilities our God bestows on our students. We pray all our students will continue to sharpen those skills, use them to God’s glory, and serve joyfully wherever the Lord leads them in the years to come. God’s blessings to them will be a blessing to others.

In Jesus,

THANK YOU!

Goal: $10M by June 30, 2024

We are so grateful to our Lord who continues to bless us with your prayers and gifts towards our Let’s Grow Together campaign. Thank you for responding to God’s blessings and helping more students attend KML for a safe and Christ-centered education.

An Evening in Paris Gala a HUGE SUCCESS!

THANK YOU for your generous support of the KML ministry through KML’s 2023 gala, An Evening in Paris. We truly appreciate your support which helped make this year’s gala a record year.

Initial estimates indicate a net income of over $173,000. Proceeds from this event will be split with a portion going toward the Let’s Grow Together campaign and a portion to the student assistance fund, ultimately allowing more students to attend KML for a safe, quality, Christ-centered education.

Thank you once again for being a part of the KML family and helping our students. With your continued support, we can continue to carry out our mission of educating for life and for eternity.

From the President’s Pen

Dear KML Family,

“I am the vine; you are the branches.” It’s a well known section of Scripture (John 15:5) which reminds us of the importance of staying connected to Jesus always! We are thankful to assist you as parents in this very important task for your children. I realize they are young adults and getting closer to the freedom of making their own decisions, but we are thankful to be partners with you. We get to share the Good News of sins forgiven and heaven every day with them as well. We pray God will continue to keep all of our KML family strongly connected to him. That helps us today as we bear much fruit on our earthly walk and grants us an eternity of absolute perfection. God bless you as you raise your children in him!

In Jesus,

President Luehring
