12 Days of Christmas Update

During KML’s 12 Days of Christmas, the students, faculty, staff, and community raised money to help the Albrecht, Bintz, Pfund, and Westeen families. The total raised this year was a record-breaking $61,512!

Three of the four families were able to join us in person on January 12 after our chapel service for a special presentation during which they were gifted their individual checks.

Thank you to Coffeeville Company for partnering with us again this year to support this program through the coffee fundraiser, and THANK YOU TO ALL WHO GAVE SO GENEROUSLY to help this year’s 12 Days families. What a wonderful way to share the love of our Savior through our actions!

Call News

Mr. Derek Rabbers, KML science instructor, continues to deliberate the call he received to teach upper level science at Minnesota Valley Lutheran High School in New Ulm, MN. Please keep Mr. Rabbers in your prayers as he deliberates where to serve the Lord.

Pastor Phil Malchow, KML’s Word of God 11 instructor, has announced his retirement at the end of the 2021-2022 school year. Throughout his eight years at KML, Pastor Malchow has been a blessing through his faithful service in such areas as teaching, coaching, and mentoring. We wish him God’s richest blessings in his retirement.

Mrs. Jamie Bruckschen and Mrs. Sarah Chojnacki will also be moving on from KML at the end of this school year.

Mrs. Bruckschen who teaches science and economics classes will be moving with her husband (a student at Wisconsin Lutheran Seminary) to where he receives his vicar call.

Mrs. Chojnacki, English and math instructor eagerly awaiting the birth of her first child, will be changing careers to that of full-time mom.

God’s blessings to both Mrs. Bruckschen and Mrs. Chojnacki as they follow the exciting new paths God has for them.

At the regular quarterly KML General Board meeting on Monday, February 14, the board will issue calls to fill the vacancies left by Pastor Malchow, Mrs. Bruckschen, and Mrs. Chojnacki.
