Clay Shoot & Wine Event a Success The KML Foundation hosted the annual Clay Shoot/Wine Event at The Highlands and SoLu Winery in Cascade on Sunday, September 26. This was another record year with increased participation, more sponsors, and great auction items. We had 68 people participate in the clay shoot and 26 attend the wine event. Everyone had a fun day and enjoyed the opportunity to support the KML Foundation. Final expenses have not been tabulated yet, but it looks like we will add more than $10,000 to our special Sportsmen Fund of the KML Foundation. This the second year for this fund, and the proceeds will increase the amount of student assistance awards for our KML students. The KML Foundation’s overall assets have grown dramatically this past year. Through estate gifts, current donations, and events like this and the golf outing, the Foundation now manages $2.6 million. This is truly exciting because a growing Foundation leads to increases in the amount of support we can give to current and future KML families. Thanks to all who attended, sponsored, donated and volunteered to make this such a success. We look forward to another great event next fall.
