KML Grandparents’ Days – NEW DATES & FORMAT!

Virtual Grandparents’ Days
October 15 – November 1, 2020

Grandparents are special gifts from God and play an increasingly important role in guiding young people. This year’s Grandparents’ Days are a little different but just as fun!

In past years, we honored you, our KML grandparents, with a special gift when you joined your grandchildren and us at school. This year, we invite you to show your love to your current KML grandchildren in a different way.

Visit www.kmlhs.org/grandparents to register your current KML grandchild(ren) for a chance for them to win one of ten $25 gift certificates for KML SCRIP. Imagine the excitement your grandchild will experience if they win, thanks to you!

Additionally, when you visit www.kmlhs.org/grandparents you will have the opportunity to share some wisdom or advice. This advice will be shared on a mural poster at KML for your grandchildren and all current students to read.

Submission Deadline: Sunday, November 1

A relative or special friend is invited to participate if a student’s grandparents are unable to do so.

Thank you for joining us during this unique year in celebrating the special bond between grandparents and grandchildren!

Clay Shoot & Wine Event a Great Success

The KML Foundation hosted the annual Clay Shoot/Wine Event at The Highlands in Cascade on Sunday, September 27. In spite of some rain, the event was fun and successful in many ways.

We had a record attendance of 62 people who did the clay shoot, and 26 people participated in the wine event. We had more silent auction items than ever before and a record sale of raffle tickets.

The event also raised a record amount of money for the KML Foundation. More than $11,000 from the event is being used to create the new Sportsmen Fund which will provide perpetual support for student assistance.

Thanks to all who attended, sponsored, donated and volunteered to make this such a success. We look forward to another great event next fall.

National Estate Planning Awareness Week

The week of October 19-25 has been designated as National Estate Planning Awareness Week. Many people know they should write a will and organize their records, but two-thirds of Americans still do not have a current estate plan.

This special Awareness Week is meant to provide the incentive for people to move ahead and actually accomplish the goal of creating an estate plan. You will be glad you took the time to do this, and your loved ones will truly appreciate it since you will ultimately save them a lot of time, money and frustration.

Contact Mr. Paul Snamiska (paul.snamiska@kmlhs.org), our own KML Federation estate plan counselor for more information and to get started. Awareness is important, but completing the effort is even better!
