KML Grandparents’ Days – LAST DAY TO PARTICIPATE! Virtual Grandparents’ Days Grandparents are special gifts from God and play an increasingly important role in guiding young people. This year’s Grandparents’ Days are a little different, but just as fun! In past years, we honored you, our KML grandparents, with a special gift when you joined your grandchildren and us at school. This year, we invite you to show your love to your current KML grandchildren in a different way. Visit www.kmlhs.org/grandparents to register your current KML grandchild(ren) for a chance for them to win one of ten $25 gift certificates for KML SCRIP. Imagine the excitement your grandchild will experience if they win, thanks to you! Additionally, when you visit www.kmlhs.org/grandparents you will have the opportunity to share some wisdom or advice. This advice will be shared on a mural poster at KML for your grandchildren and all current students to read. www.kmlhs.org/grandparents A relative or special friend is invited to participate if a student’s grandparents are unable to do so. Thank you for joining us during this unique year in celebrating the special bond between grandparents and grandchildren!

Christmas Cookies at KML Christmas Cooking Baking at KML is back! The 10th annual day of baking Christmas cookies will be held in the KML foods room on Saturday, December 5, from 8:30 AM – noon. We will make use of the four mixers and eight ovens in the foods room (including four convection ovens) to make and bake as many cookies as we can in the 3 1/2 hour time slot. Last year’s total cookie count (which was then divided up between the bakers) was 1573! Cost is $30 per participant or $45 for a team. In the past we have had fun with mother/daughter, sisters, or father/son teams (mother/son or father/daughter teams are also possibilities). This event is open to all KML Federation members and friends who are high school age and up. Attendees should bring containers or tins to take home the goodies. Recipes, ingredients, kitchen utensils, and baking pans will be provided. Contact Mrs. Linda Hering (linda.hering@kmlhs.org) with questions or to sign up to attend. Space is limited, so sign up soon!
