November 15, 2023
Dear KML Family,
As we celebrate Thanksgiving, we are reminded of all the blessings that God gives us in our lives. When we pause to reflect we see so many! KML is a place where students thrive as Christ guides them through these important teenage years. We are also grateful for our dedicated teachers and staff, for the friends and families who support this ministry, and for the opportunity to provide our children with a Christian education that prepares them for life and eternity. Together, we form a strong and loving community centered in Christ. To God be glory and thanks for it all! Happy Thanksgiving!
Dr. Jamie Luehring, President
At the General Board meeting on November 13, the board issued a call to Ms. Stefanie Herbert to serve in the newly created position of KML Schools K-8 Curriculum Director. Ms. Herbert previously taught at St. Paul’s, Muskego, and currently serves as the Assistant Principal of Academics at Trinity Freistadt in Mequon and as an adjunct professor at Wisconsin Lutheran College. Please keep Ms. Herbert in your prayers as she deliberates where to best use her gifts to serve the Lord.
KML Job Openings
KML is looking to fill the following positions:
12 Days of Christmas Coffee Fundraiser
KML is once again partnering with Coffeeville Company to raise money for KML’s 12 Days of Christmas fundraiser to support families in need. This year we are raising money for the Gerlach, Hovorka, Lindenberg, and Praefke families. (Learn more about the families at kmlhs.org/12days.)
For each $16 bag of premium 12 oz. coffee sold, Coffeeville is donating $3 back to the 12 Days of Christmas. Bags are sold with whole OR ground coffee beans and make great gifts for the coffee-lovers on your Christmas list!
Prizes will be awarded to KML students with the top number of sales. You may choose a KML student to receive credit for your order, if you wish, by naming them on the order form.
Place your order online today at kmlhs.org/12days.
Orders will be available for pick up in the KML PAC Lobby

We hope you can join us – and bring a friend!
Winter Band Concert

Save the Date!
During this season of Thanksgiving, we encourage you to consider a special gift to celebrate 50 Years of God’s grace at KML. Generosity gives everyone the power to make a positive change in the lives of others and is a fundamental value everyone can act on.
GivingTuesday was created in 2012 as a simple idea: a day that encourages people to do good. Millions of people all over our country choose to use GivingTuesday as an opportunity to connect to their favorite organizations.
On November 28, GivingTuesday, we pray you will make a connection again to your KML. We give thanks to the Lord for some very generous people who are so excited to support KML that they want to challenge you on GivingTuesday with a gift that will double your impact.
Mark your calendars, spread the word, pray for the Lord’s blessings and stay tuned for details!
