12 Days of Christmas Update

During KML’s 12 Days of Christmas, the students, faculty, staff, and community raised money to help the Bublitz, Schram, and Strong families. The total raised this year was over $45,000!

One of the three families was able to join us in person on January 18 after our chapel service for a special presentation during which they were gifted their check.

Thank you to Coffeeville Company for partnering with us again this year to support this program through the coffee fundraiser, and THANK YOU TO ALL WHO GAVE SO GENEROUSLY to help this year’s 12 Days families. What a wonderful way to share the love of our Savior through our actions!

Faculty & Staff News

Mr. Joshua Lindner has declined the call he received to teach English and coach at Minnesota Valley Lutheran High School in New Ulm, MN, and will continue serving as an English instructor at KML.

Mr. James Ott has declined the call he received to teach upper level math and coach girls basketball at Michigan Lutheran High School in St. Joseph, MI, and will continue teaching at KML.

Mrs. Beth Humann joined the KML staff during the second quarter and teaches core math and English classes and also works in the Learning Center. She is a member at Peace Lutheran Church in Hartford and has only lived in WI a little over a year, having lived much of her life in California and Washington state. Mrs. Humann plays the organ and piano and enjoys crafting, domestic and international travel, and spending time with her 8 children and 12 grandchildren.

Miss Ashley Braker (KML class of ’18) is back on campus, now as one of our Learning Center Assistants. She enjoys visiting national parks with her family (Yellowstone is her favorite). In her free time, she likes to read (mostly mysteries), play the flute, and spend time with her two pets. Miss Braker attends church at Morning Star in Jackson.

Mr. Dave Stern, after serving as KML’s head of maintenance for 30 years, has announced his retirement as of mid May. We thank Mr. Stern for his many years of faithful service to KML and wish him God’s richest blessings in his retirement.

At the KML General Board on February 13, the board will be extending a call for an additional English instructor to begin next school year due to KML’s growing enrollment.

Let’s Grow Together Campaign Update

At the beginning of this school year, KML launched a $10 million Let’s Grow Together campaign to offer more ministry and opportunities for spiritual growth. This facility expansion will allow us to serve more students with the gospel, expand overcrowded spaces, add more programs to increase student involvement, and provide additional opportunities for our growing Jr. Charger programs. God has moved many hearts to generously express their love and faith through their support.

$3.2M as of February 1, 2023

THANK YOU!

Goal: $10M by June 30, 2024

We are thankful that Christ is with us in our KML Federation. Every gift, both large and small, to this campaign is a clear demonstration of God’s power among us. Thank you for your prayers, encouragement, and financial support!

For more information, visit kmlhs.org/grow or contact either President Jamie Luehring (jamie.luehring@kmlhs.org) or Director of Mission Advancement Wendy Breimon (wendy.breimon@kmlhs.org).

The time is now. Let’s Grow Together!
