12 Days of Christmas Update

During KML’s 12 Days of Christmas, the students, faculty, staff, and community raised money to help the Gerlach, Hovorka, Lindenberg, and Praefke families. The total raised this year was over $49,000!

Three of the four families were able to join us in person on January 17, 2024, after our chapel service for a special presentation during which they were gifted their checks.

Thank you to Coffeeville Company for partnering with us again this year to support this program through the coffee fundraiser, and THANK YOU TO ALL WHO GAVE SO GENEROUSLY to help this year’s 12 Days families. What a wonderful way to share the love of our Savior through our actions!

Faculty & Staff News

Miss Emily Chandonnet, currently teaching English at KML, has received a call to teach English at West Lutheran High School in Plymouth, MN. Please keep Miss Chandonnet in your prayers as she deliberates where to use her gifts to best serve the Lord.

Join us in welcoming Mrs. Eve Manke as our new Study Hall/Commons Supervisor. She and her husband, Joel, have been blessed with three children: Scarlett (KML class of 2026), and twins, Audrey and Ellie (12). Mrs. Manke enjoys baking, birdwatching, and trying to grow her own vegetables. As a family, the Mankes love to go up north, have fires in their backyard, and cheer on the Brewers. The Mankes are members at Peace in Hartford.

Let’s Grow Together Campaign Update

KML has been blessed with nearly 1900 donors who have given cash and pledges totaling over $6 million. Alumni represent nearly 200 of those donors. What a blessing! Our goal continues to be to raise $10 million by the end of this campaign in June 2024. We continue to pray that our entire KML family will help to close that gap in preparation for final decisions in April. Our timeline continues with bids going out in March, awarding in April, and breaking ground in May. Please pray for these efforts and share the mission of our Let’s Grow Together campaign.

For more information, visit kmlhs.org/grow or contact either President Jamie Luehring (jamie.luehring@kmlhs.org) or Director of Mission Advancement Wendy Breimon (wendy.breimon@kmlhs.org).

The time is now. Let’s Grow Together!
