Call News

Mr. Nate Amundson KML’s Director of Elementary School Bands, has received a call to St. Croix Lutheran Academy in West St. Paul, MN, to direct their middle and elementary school band programs.

Mr. Derek Rabbers has received a call to teach science at Northland Lutheran High School in Kronenwetter, WI. Mr. Rabbers currently serves as a science instructor at KML.

Pastor Nathan Berg has accepted the call to serve at KML teaching Word of God 11 & 12 and coach. He currently serves as one of the pastors at Eastside Lutheran Church in Madison, WI, and will begin at KML at the start of the 24-25 school year.

Please join us in thanking God for filling the Word of God position at KML, pray for the ministry at Eastside Lutheran, and keep Mr. Amundson and Mr. Rabbers in your prayers as they seek the Lord’s guidance on where to best use their God-given gifts.

Let’s Grow Together Campaign Update

In anticipation of breaking ground for our transformative ministry expansion, and as we get close to realizing this vision, several potential scenarios may unfold should the funds necessary to complete the entire project fall short.

  • Eliminate the third court in the gymnasium
  • Shell out the second floor without finishing it
  • Reduce necessary equipment and furniture
  • Eliminate the multipurpose room designed for cheer, wrestling, and physical education

Above all, we seek your prayers. Pray that God’s abundance surpasses all expectations and plans for this campaign. Your gift or pledge today signifies unwavering support and contributes to our collective goal of expanding the KML ministry. Your belief in our Christian mission and your support for this campaign are not only valued but essential to not only benefit our current students, but generations to come.

All are invited to attend the groundbreaking service for our Let’s Grow Together building project. The service will take place in the PAC Auditorium at 6:15 PM on Monday, April 8. Doors open at 6:00 PM.

For more information, visit kmlhs.org/grow or contact either President Jamie Luehring (jamie.luehring@kmlhs.org) or Director of Mission Advancement Wendy Breimon (wendy.breimon@kmlhs.org).

The time is now. Let’s Grow Together!

Host an International Student in 2024-2025

KML is seeking families to host international students for the 2024-2025 school year. The number of host families that we have available determines the number of international student applications we will be able to accept. Host families receive a stipend of $800/month to provide housing, meals, and transportation from early to mid-August through the end of May.

KML’s international students are required to have a high level of English fluency, but may not be used to speaking English all the time. Many of them also experience American culture for the first time when they come to KML, and our foods and customs take time to get used to. Host families need to be patient, understanding, and open-minded about the addition of an international student to their family.

Applications for hosting for the 2024-2025 school year need to be submitted by April 25, 2024. If you are interested in serving as a host family, please visit kmlhs.org/hostfamily for more information.
