![]() August 15, 2020 Rooted in Christ ROOTED in Christ! These words are more than just our theme for this school year – we pray they serve as a daily reminder that we grow and prosper together only when we are rooted deeply in Christ. He is our source of strength and purpose for serving. The fruit that grows from our Christian living is a visible gift to a world who needs what we have. Our 2020-21 logo shows many branches growing from the deep connection to Jesus our Savior. Each one of us is a branch who bears fruit and gives witness to the truths of Jesus. At KML we are blessed with strong academics, a beautiful facility, dedicated staff, and great students. We are also blessed with generous supporters like you who partner with us in this ministry through your prayers and gifts. All these branches of the KML ministry work together to educate, encourage, and equip God’s people for life and for eternity. May God bless our new school year together!
Welcome, New Faculty & Staff! Join us in welcoming new faculty and staff members to the KML Family!
Mrs. Cheryl Micheel joins KML as one of our Learning Center Assistants. She and her family recently moved to Wisconsin from Utah where she served as a co-teacher for grades 6-8 at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church and School in Taylorsville and where her husband, Jonathan, was one of the pastors. (He recently accepted a call to serve at Wisconsin Lutheran Seminary in Mequon.) The Micheels have been blessed with four children: Emma, Sophia, Ezekiel, and Noah (new member of the KML class of 2023).
Installation Service Join us via livestream on Friday, September 4, at 7:40 AM as we offer our praise to God for allowing KML to begin the 47th year of instructing our youth in the truth of God’s Word. New faculty member, Mrs. Jamie Bruckschen, will be installed during the service.
Farewell, Faithful Staff Members As the new school year begins, we bid farewell to the following staff members who have served KML faithfully and wish them God’s blessings in their future endeavors:

SCRIP Volunteer Needed We are in need of someone to staff the SCRIP Office on Monday afternoons from 12:00 – 3:00 PM, beginning in August. This involves filling SCRIP orders, handing out orders, and keeping inventory of the stock on hand. Training is simple and done on the job. Even if you can help out 1-2 times a month, we’d love to have you! Our volunteers are fantastic, share shifts, and are willing to cover shifts if you have appointments. If you’re interested in learning more or trying it out, please contact the SCRIP coordinator (scrip@kmlhs.org).
KML Charity Golf Outing a Great Success The KML Foundation hosted the annual Charity Golf Outing on Monday, July 20. Once again, God blessed the day with great weather and great fellowship as we enjoyed some golf and a fantastic opportunity to support KML. Initial reports show that we raised more funds than the past few years which means more student assistance for current and future KML families. Thanks to all who participated and made this a special event.
Virtual Auction Update Thank you for your generous support of the KML ministry through the 2020 KML Virtual Auction. We truly appreciate your support which helped make this year’s Rooted auction a success. Although this event looked quite a bit different than in the past, estimates indicate a gross income of over $44,000 with approximately $22,000 of that amount going toward our challenge. Proceeds from this event will help fund new classroom furnishings and the KML tuition assistance fund. Thank you once again for being a part of the KML team and helping our students. With your continued support, we can continue to carry out the mission of educating for life and for eternity while remaining Rooted in Christ, Innovation, and Excellence.
Save the Date! September 27, 12:00 PM Registration & more info coming soon at foundation.kmlhs.org
