Dear KML Family,

We are looking forward to getting our KML family back together this week. Although very different than expected, my prayer is that your break allowed for some relaxation and reflection. As we venture into Holy Week, we are also reminded once again of God’s grace and goodness to us all. May the Holy Spirit continue to work in our hearts through his powerful Word as we see God’s love for us both now and for eternity. Let us continue to encourage one another as a Christian family.

As we enter another week of virtual learning, my prayer is that all of us will continue to embrace this challenge, use our God given gifts and abilities to their fullest, and simply enjoy the virtual time that we get to be together.  My prayers are with you all, that you might find the bright spots of God’s blessings during these challenging times.

Please read the up-to-date information below.

God Bless,
Principal Luehring

Attendance and Devotion
This is a reminder to our students to check in at www.kmlhs.org/vschool every morning by 7:40 for devotion and attendance check-in.

Upcoming Schedule
At this point, we have communicated to you that we will be extending our virtual learning through April 14. This has been a moving target under the ever-changing circumstances we are all in with COVID-19. There have been a couple of national and state communications that add to the probability that this will be extended.

  • President Trump extended his coronavirus guidelines to April 30.
  • Governor Evers indicated in an interview that he expects that schools are closed “indefinitely” and that we shouldn’t plan to be back before April 30.
  • There are a growing number of states who are cancelling school for the remainder of the year (Michigan is one of the most recent).

All these facts point to the fact that we should prepare to engage in virtual learning until April 30 and beyond.  Instead of continuing to move the date back arbitrarily, we will continue to plan for virtual learning until national and state governments allow for us to return. We will gladly go back to face-to-face instruction as soon as that is possible. Below you will find our anticipated schedule through April 24.

  • Monday, April 6 – Online Instruction: A Day (Periods 1-4)
  • Tuesday, April 7 – Online Instruction: B Day (Periods 5-8)
