Senior Jacob Scharp is the first KML student to complete the Wisconsin Youth Apprenticeship Program. This program allows KML students to train for employment and earn high school credit while they gain experience in the workforce.

During his apprenticeship at Steel Craft in Hartford, Jacob learned valuable welding skills while maintaining honor roll status at school. Jake has been praised by his employer for his consistent work ethic. He has been promoted and has been offered full-time employment which will begin in June at Steel Craft. Jake is also enrolled in the welding program at Waukesha County Technical College, set to begin in the fall.

Congratulations, Jake! You are certainly letting your light shine while using your gifts and talents to serve the Lord!
