From the President’s Pen

Dear KML Family,

KML is blessed with a diversely-gifted family of students. We daily strive to encourage and equip them for their future on this earth as well as their future with Jesus for eternity. What a privilege it is to help our students reflect on those gifts and ask the question, “How can I use my strengths for the good of others?” In a world which perpetually tells us everything is about us, we reinforce their primary purpose – to make their God known and to serve others and live his way. Thank you for believing in and sacrificing for the Christian education our future leaders get to be a part of each day at KML!

Blessings,

President Luehring

Lannon Stone Foundation Scholarship

Lannon Stone Foundation announced that it will once again sponsor a scholarship that will pay one half of the KML tuition for a member of KML’s class of 2025 who is not a participant in the school choice program. The student should be planning to pursue a career in engineering or science. A successful applicant will be a member of the class of 2025, have a cumulative GPA of at least 3.0, and plan to pursue a Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited college or university beginning in the fall of 2025. Applicants for the scholarship should submit a professional cover letter and essay as if they were applying for a job or to a university. The cover letter needs to demonstrate that they meet the criteria. The one page essay should describe their interest in the chosen field of study.

Student questions can be directed to Mr. Walz or Mrs. Breimon. Submissions should be emailed to Mrs. Wendy Breimon in KML’s Mission Advancement Office (wendy.breimon@kmlhs.org) no later than Monday, January 15. Mrs. Breimon will forward the applications to Lannon Stone. Officials from the company will interview the top three candidates and make the award determination.
