From the Principal’s Pen

Dear KML Family,

KML is blessed with a diversely gifted family of students. We daily strive to encourage and equip them for their future on this earth as well as their future with Jesus for eternity. What a privilege it is to help our students reflect on those gifts and ask the question, “How can I use my strengths for the good of others?” In a world which perpetually tells us everything is about us, we reinforce their primary purpose – to make their God known and to serve others. Thank you for believing in and sacrificing for the Christian education our future leaders get to be a part of each day at KML!

In Jesus,

Principal Luehring

MLC Trip

Each year, KML partners with Martin Luther College (MLC) in New Ulm, MN, to give our students an opportunity to experience what a normal day is like in the life of a college student preparing for full-time ministry in the WELS. For many years, KML has been encouraging students to consider the full-time ministry as pastors, teachers, and staff ministers. This is a great opportunity for KML students to see life at MLC firsthand and receive personal encouragements to continue thinking about becoming a pastor, teacher, or staff minister.

If you have a student who has the gifts to serve in full-time ministry, please encourage them to participate in the second trip to MLC on February 5-6. These are weekdays, which means we will leave from KML after chapel on Wednesday, February 5, and return to campus around 10:00 PM on Thursday, February 6. We will also be partnering with Shoreland Lutheran High School to travel on a coach bus. It is a quick trip, but students will attend college classes, visit KML alumni, and meet new friends! Please contact Pastor Ben Reichel (ben.reichel@kmlhs.org) with any questions you might have.
