![]() ![]() January 7, 2021 From the Principal’s Pen Dear KML Family, We pray you have enjoyed time with family and friends during this extended break. Holidays are always a reminder of the family and relationships with which God blesses us during our journey on this earth. We are excited to reunite as a KML family today and begin another semester together. May Christ’s love for us work through us as we reflect his saving grace! In Jesus, Principal Luehring
Covid Reminders We are so thankful to have completed our first semester of this school year without a gap in the ability to provide face to face instruction for our families who desire it. Our students have been compliant and willing to do what they need to so that we can continue being in our building each day. Parents, we have been thankful for your support and encouragement of your teenagers as well. We want to start our second semester strong and safely together! As we begin the second semester tomorrow, it is very important that we start strong with our mitigation measures, and we need your help again! Please review some important details below, and continue to be vigilant so that we can continue our face to face instruction throughout the end of the school year. Reminders: Bring Your Own Mask: Please send your student to school with a mask. We do have some in the office available as a last resort, but our supply is limited. Students should not depend on the office to supply them with a mask each day. Fever: Do not send your student to school if they have a fever or are feeling unwell. A temperature over 100.4 degrees is considered a fever. Additionally, they should not return to school until they have remained fever free for 24 hours without fever reducing medication. COVID Positive: If your student is being tested for COVID, please inform the office immediately. Any student being tested due to symptoms or exposure must remain home until they receive their test results. Be sure to stay in communication regarding the results so we can notify people of potential exposure in a timely manner. Family Member In Testing Process: If someone in your household is being tested for COVID because of symptoms or exposure, your student should remain at home in quarantine until the results are determined. Family Member Tests Positive: If someone in your household tests positive for COVID, your student needs to quarantine at home for 10 days after the last date they came in contact with the positive person.
Please remember that the use of virtual learning is intended only for students who are being affected by COVID-19. Please call/email the Main Office if your student needs to opt-in to virtual learning. If you have specific questions, feel free to contact Mrs. Chelsie Brandl (chelsie.brandl@kmlhs.org). Thank you in advance for your understanding and cooperation as we navigate these difficult times together.
