From the President’s Pen

Dear KML Family,

As we wrap up October and head into November, we see Thanksgiving and Christmas on the horizon. I am reminded of how much we have to be thankful for in our daily lives, even through challenges. The greatest blessing is our all-powerful Savior, born as a lowly baby in Bethlehem so long ago. As we continue to experience life in a world we couldn’t have predicted, let us stand firm on Jesus, our Rock and Redeemer. That focus will help us withstand the challenges of today while we keep an eye on our eternal prize with him!

KML Culver’s Day in Jackson

Wednesday, November 2, is KML Culver’s Day at Culver’s in Jackson. Student names will be drawn from the class with the highest sales! Winners will receive either a value meal basket, a cheese curd basket, or a concrete mixer. Congratulations again to our Freshman class and our October winners: Julia Strey, Natalie Justman, Mckenna Mayer, Lillian Rickaby, Joe Taylor, and Lucas Becker. All of this is in addition to 10% of all KML sales going toward the Let’s Grow Together capital campaign. Bring your family and friends to Culver’s on Wednesday, November 2!  Be sure to bring a coupon so you can record the class and student you would like to win. If you forget to print one from our website, ask for one at Culver’s. Thank you for supporting your high school.

Uniforms for all fall sports are to be collected by the head coach within one week of the final game. Clean uniforms should be in a bag with the student’s name included. Late fees of $5 per week will be charged on a weekly basis following the week deadline. Missing uniforms will be charged a replacement fee. Please remember the KML Activities Department masks and gaiters are also part of the official uniform and must be laundered and returned. (We will rewash them to be safe.) A $10 charge for dirty uniforms or missing face coverings will be assessed. All athletes should also have their team locker cleaned out within one week following their last game. Fines will be charged for lockers that are not emptied and cleaned.

Student Athletic Forms Needed for Winter Sports

Students who were not involved in a fall sport but are planning to try out for a winter sport must have the necessary athletic forms on file (WIAA green Physical Card or WIAA orange Alternate Year Card, theKMLHS blue Compliance Form, the yellow Parent/Athlete Concussion/Sudden Cardiac Arrest Agreement Form, and the white Trainer Authorization Form).

Athletes will not be allowed to try out if the forms are incomplete.

Please contact Mrs. Amy Nass (262.677.4051 x4008; amy.nass@kmlhs.org) for verification or with questions. Athletes who participated in a FALL SPORT would already have the necessary paperwork submitted.

Forms can be obtained from the Activities Office or from kmlchargers.com/athletic-paperwork.

Athletic event schedules are available at kmlchargers.com/athletic-schedule. Specific sport schedule information is also posted on each sport’s home page.
