From the President’s Pen

Dear KML Family,

In a world in which we constantly hear words of doom and gloom, I thought I might share a ray of positive light today.

As of late, I have been spending some time learning more about the history of KML as we get closer to our 50th anniversary in 2023-2024. It has been a lesson in bold trust and God’s abundant blessings. I find myself uttering thanks to God for his hand in building this place where I am blessed to serve.

In the mid-70s, God used many families to boldly step out in faith and start a high school in the middle of a cornfield in Jackson. The first class had 35 students. Today God has blessed us with all of you who choose to send your children here – more than 530 students.

If you have 5 minutes and want to see God’s goodness a little more clearly today, take a moment and click on the Founding Fathers video linked below to watch it. The video was created nearly 15 years ago but shares so clearly how Christ has always been the foundation of KML and how God used some pretty amazing people in the past to start what has become KML today. God is good!

In Christ,

President Luehring
