From the President’s Pen
Dear KML Family,
As we recognize Christ’s great sacrifice for us, our eyes focus on the tool of his torture, the cross. We are amazed that he would endure such suffering for us. But then our eyes go beyond the cross to the heavenly home waiting for us because of that sacrifice. The eternal life we see in our future frames our daily troubles and challenges as manageable. We know we have a God who takes care of us until that eternity is ours. May his saving work be our foundation as we strive to live as his children every day.
KML Culver’s Day in Jackson
Wednesday, March 1, is KML Culver’s Day at Culver’s in Jackson. Student names will be drawn from the class with the highest sales! Winners will receive either a value meal basket, a cheese curd basket, or a concrete mixer. Congratulations to our undefeated freshman class and February winners: Colson Matter, Jameson Wells, Lillian Rickaby, Alana Rusch, Adam Mills, and Regan Kramer. Tuition Assistance – DEADLINE APRIL 15
The Kettle Moraine Lutheran High School Federation recognizes that the cost of Christian secondary education has the potential of being a challenge for some families. Accordingly, the Federation has established the KML Tuition Assistance Program. The program is designed to help families meet the cost of this great blessing. The monies come from many donors and foundations, including the KML Foundation. Applicants can apply online by going to kmlhs.org/TuitionAssistance. The deadline to apply is April 15, 2023, and the Finance Committee will determine the assistance mid May. Feel free to contact Mr. Jody Hansen, Director of Operations (262.677.4051 x4004; firstname.lastname@example.org), if you have any questions.
Sports Uniform Turn-In
All uniforms will be collected by the head coach within one week of each team’s final game. Clean uniforms should be in a bag with the athlete’s name included. Late fees of $5 per week will be charged on a weekly basis following the week deadline. Missing uniforms will be charged a replacement fee. A $10 charge for dirty uniforms will also be assessed for unlaundered uniforms. Athletes should also have their team locker cleaned out within one week following their last game. A $10 fee will be charged for lockers not emptied and cleaned.
Student Athletic Forms Needed for Spring Sports
Students who were not involved in a fall or winter sport but are planning to try out for a spring sport must have the necessary athletic forms on file (WIAA green Physical Card or WIAA orange Alternate Year Card, the KMLHS blue Compliance Form, the yellow Parent/Athlete Concussion/Sudden Cardiac Arrest Agreement Form, and the white Trainer Authorization Form). Forms can be obtained from the Activities Office, or are posted at http://kmlchargers.com/athletic-paperwork.
Athletes will not be allowed to try out if the forms are incomplete.
Please contact Mrs. Amy Nass (262.677.4051 x4008; email@example.com) for verification or with questions. Athletes who participated in a fall or winter sport would already have the necessary paperwork submitted.
Forms can be obtained from the Activities Office or from kmlchargers.com/athletic-paperwork.
On behalf of Kettle Moraine Lutheran High School Activities Office, we would like to thank all parents and student athlete volunteers who helped with admissions, concessions, or supervision for our home basketball games. We appreciate your time and dedication to our programs!
Travel to Europe in 2025
KML is offering an international education experience in Switzerland, Italy, and France in the summer of 2025. While our hope is to have the majority of the travelers be students, this trip is available to anyone connected to KML.
There will be an informational meeting on Wednesday, March 22, at 3:00 PM AND 6:00 PM at KML in room 1176. The itinerary, activities, academic opportunities, affordable payment options, and the official opening of enrollment will be discussed at this meeting.
RSVP to attend the meeting and view the trip’s itinerary at kmlhs.org/europe25.
