From the President’s Pen

Dear KML Family,

John 3:16 reminds us of God’s immense love: “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.” (NIV) This verse shows us that God’s love is unconditional which is difficult to comprehend and beyond our human understanding. It led our Heavenly Father to send Jesus to save us, demonstrating the depths of his love. May we reflect that love in our lives as we live God’s way. Then we have the opportunity to make him known and encourage the people God has brought into our lives.

God Bless,

President Luehring

Winners will receive either a value meal basket, cheese curds, or a concrete mixer. Congratulations to our freshmen class and April winners: Anthony Wolf, Zach Kesting, Joshua Krahn, Carter Kroupa, and Madelyn Ziesemer. All of this is in addition to 10% of all KML sales going toward the Let’s Grow Together capital campaign. Enjoy a treat on Wednesday, May 1! Be sure to bring a coupon so you can record the class and student you would like to win. If you forget to print one from our website (kmlhs.org/culvers), ask for one at Culver’s. Thank you for supporting your high school.

Host an International Student in 2024-2025

KML is seeking families to host international students for the 2024-2025 school year. The number of host families that we have available determines the number of international student applications we will be able to accept. Host families receive a stipend of $800/month to provide housing, meals, and transportation from early to mid-August through the end of May.

KML’s international students are required to have a high level of English fluency, but may not be used to speaking English all the time. Many of them also experience American culture for the first time when they come to KML, and our foods and customs take time to get used to. Host families need to be patient, understanding, and open-minded about the addition of an international student to their family.

Applications for hosting for the 2024-2025 school year need to be submitted by April 25, 2024. If you are interested in serving as a host family, please visit kmlhs.org/hostfamily for more information.
