From the President’s Pen

Dear KML Family,

Exams are nearly completed! As we round out our school year, I want to express my thanks to our students, parents, faculty, staff, and federation for making KML what it is today. What a blessing to have a high school education firmly planted in God’s Word and his message of love and free forgiveness! I pray you have a very blessed summer!

A special congratulations and God’s blessings to our seniors and their families. We know God has great things in store for the future of these young men and women.

Work Permits

Students under the age of 16 will require a work permit when hired for a new job. The Main Office can issue work permits for KML students. The following items are needed in order to issue a work permit:

  • $10 permit fee. May be paid with exact cash (no change can be made) or a check made out to KMLHS.
  • This completed form.
  • The minor’s original birth certificate.
  • The minor’s original social security card.
  • A letter of parental permission.
  • A letter from the employer stating the minor’s job title and duties.
  • The minor must be present while requesting the work permit as their signature is required.

 

Summer Office Hours

Beginning May 31 and running through August 17, the KML Main Office hours will be Monday – Thursday, 9 AM – 1 PM with a few exceptions. The exceptions are on June 7-9 & June 13-16 when the office will be open from 11 AM – 3PM. The office will be closed on July 4/5, July 14, and Aug 10/11. Summer office hours are subject to occasional change. Please call with any questions. Regular office hours of 7:15 AM – 3:30 PM will resume August 18 when the 2022 – 2023 school year begins.

Sports Uniform Turn-In

Sports uniforms will be collected by the head coach within one week of the final event (or communicated deadline). Clean uniforms should be in a bag with the athlete’s name included. Late fees of $5 per week will be charged on a weekly basis following the week deadline. A $10 charge for dirty uniforms will also be assessed if a clean uniform is not submitted. Missing uniforms will be charged a replacement fee. Athletes should also have their team locker cleaned out within one week following their last event. A $10 fee will be charged for lockers which are not emptied and cleaned.

 

Spring Awards Nights

The dates for Spring Awards Nights for the athletic teams have been scheduled as follows:

  • Golf – Thursday, June 2, 2:00 PM – Off campus
  • Track – Sunday, June 5, 1:00 PM – Cafeteria
  • Girls Soccer – Monday, June 6, 6:00 PM, PAC
  • Softball – Monday, June 6, 6:00 PM, Cafeteria
  • Baseball – Wednesday, June 9, 6:00 PM, Cafeteria
