From the President’s Pen
Dear KML Family,
This week we focused our chapel services on Jesus as our Good Shepherd. What a blessing it is to have faith in a personal God who loves each of us deeply. As we look forward to the end of another school year, we pray God will continue to shepherd the hearts of each of our students until they reach eternity.
Charger Recognition Week will be celebrated the week of May 8. We will set aside time after chapel each day to recognize the accomplishments of our students, with a special focus on our seniors.
The livestream will be shared at kmlhs.org/stream.
We hope you can join us in celebrating the many gifts God has given to our KML students!

Host an International Student in 2023-24
KML is seeking families to host international students for the 2023-2024 school year. The number of host families that we have available determines the number of international student applications we will be able to accept. In exchange for a stipend of $750/month, host families provide housing, meals, and transportation from early to mid-August through the end of the school year.
KML’s international students are required to have a high-level of English fluency, but they may at first struggle to communicate. Many of them experience American culture for the first time when they come to KML, and our foods and customs may take them time to get used to. Host families need to be patient, understanding, and open-minded about the addition of an international student to their family.
Applications for hosting for the 2023-2024 school year need to be submitted by May 25, 2023. If you are interested in serving as a host family, please visit kmlhs.org/hostfamily for more information.
Students under the age of 16 will require a work permit when hired for a new job. The Main Office can issue work permits for KML students. The following items are needed in order to issue a work permit:
Charger Club Plant Sale

(These certificates are a fundraiser for the Charger Club and DO NOT offer a rebate toward your tuition account.) Certificates expire on June 30, 2023. The SCRIP Office is open Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays, 8:00 AM – 3:00 PM. Thank you for your support!
