Dear KML Family,

Our preparations for the new school year are nearly complete! Thank you for choosing KML and being a part of our student body of more than 530 students. We are excited to welcome our entire KML family back on Wednesday, August 18. Please pray for our families, students, faculty, and staff as we begin another year focused on the foundation of our school, Jesus Christ. What a blessing it will be to gather our Christian community together!

Immediate Host Family Opening

The KML International Student Program has an immediate need of a host family for a male Chinese student returning for the 2021-22 school year. Open your home to a student and engage the world! If you’re looking for a volunteer opportunity, please consider the KML SCRIP Office! This involves filling or handing out orders and keeping inventory of the stock on hand. Training is simple and done on the job. The shifts we are specifically looking to fill are Wednesday mornings and Friday mornings, 8:00 AM-12:00 PM. We also welcome volunteers who are only available once or twice a month. Our volunteers are an important part of making the SCRIP program successful. A reminder for large or special order items: please place your order in person by 1:00 PM Friday or online by midnight Saturday in order to have your cards available the following Wednesday.


School Pictures

School pictures will be taken on the first day of school, Wednesday, August 18. Paper order forms are not being sent out this year. Please visit to place your order directly with Network Photography online. Retakes are scheduled for Friday, September 24.


KML Parent-Athlete Meeting Follow-Up: NEW Student Athletes

NEW KML Student-Athletes (including transfer students), who were NOT able to attend (either virtually or in-person) the Mandatory Parent-Athlete Meeting, are reminded to:

  1. View the Parent-Athlete Meeting recording on KML’s YouTube Page.
  2. Complete this Google Form (the form is also available at which is a short quiz meant to ensure that new student-athletes understand the important details of competing as a KML student-athlete.

These items need to be completed no later than Friday, August 13, at 11:59PM.


Required Forms for Sport Participation

Students planning to participate in KML Athletics must have the necessary athletic forms on file. Athletes will NOT be allowed to participate in a fall sport without the required paperwork.

  1. Participation Consent Form (blue) – Needed for all students participating in athletics
  2. WIAA Physical Form (green) – Incoming freshmen and juniors typically need this form (good for 2 years if physical was AFTER  April 1, 2021)
  3. WIAA Alternate Form (orange) – Sophomores and seniors typically need this form (for any physicals after April 1, 2019, but before April 1, 2021)
  4. Parent & Athlete Concussion Agreement Form (yellow) – Needed for all students participating in athletics
  5. Athletic Trainer Auhtorization Form (white) – Needed for all students participating in athletics

All forms are posted at, are available in the rack outside the Main Office, or can be picked up from the Activities Office.

All forms should be on file at KML prior to the first practice/tryout clinic. Forms may be mailed or dropped off in the Main Office. Athletes will NOT be allowed to try out or practice without the proper paperwork on file.


Equipment and Uniforms

Athletes are issued uniforms at the beginning of each sports season. The proper care of that equipment is the duty of the athlete. Uniforms should never be bleached. Equipment or uniforms lost or damaged beyond common use must be replaced by the athlete. The cost will be based on the replacement price. Cleaned uniforms are due to the coach or Activities Office within one week after the teams’ final season game. Late fees of $5.00 per week will be assessed up to one month, after which a replacement fee will be assessed to the athlete. Uniforms should be handed in to the Activities Office in a bag with the athlete’s name included. Please be sure the uniform is cleaned, turned right-side out, and complete. Repairs should be made if possible. Please call the Activities Office with questions.


Fall Athletic Team Pictures

Athletes participating in a fall sport will have a team picture taken on the dates listed below. Order forms for team and individual pictures will be sent home with each athlete at the start of their season. Purchasing pictures is optional, but all athletes must be in the team photo. Complete uniforms need to be worn. Please coordinate jersey color choice with your coaches.

  • Cross Country – 3:15 PM @ hill
  • Cheer – 4:00 PM @ football field

Practice calendars are posted under the MORE tab (again on each sport’s home page). Please consult the schedules in advance to avoid conflicts. Some changes in printed schedules do occur. The online calendar ( will have the most current schedule.


Fall Sport Parent Volunteers

All parents who have a child participating in a fall sport will be assigned to assist with game duties, take admissions, or work in the concession stand. A schedule will be sent home with all athletes and is also posted at If you are unable to work during your assigned time, please switch with another parent and email Mrs. Amy Nass ( with the change. For dates when you are helping with admissions or concessions, please identify yourself to the admission takers to gain complimentary admission.


KML Athletic Admission / Passes / Directions to Games

KML is excited to welcome all guests back to our campus this fall season! We will not be limiting spectator attendance at this time. Please note that masks are optional for all KML events. What a joy it will be to see our bleachers and sidelines full again!

The East Central Conference set ticket prices for the 2021-2022 school year at $5.00 for adults, $2.00 for high school students and seniors, and $1.00 for grade school students.

KML is again offering an All-Sport Pass – $90 per individual or $165 per family – good for all HOME sporting events. Grandparent passes continue to be available at no charge. Please stop by the Activities Office in advance to pick up a pass. Passes will NOT be mailed or distributed the day of the event. As a reminder, admissions to tournaments is not covered under any passes.
