From the President’s Pen
Dear KML Family,
Today is the day! We begin our 50th school year under God’s grace with our largest enrollment in history. What an absolute blessing to have an education centered completely on the truth of Scripture. The inerrant, perfect, beautiful Word of God is our standard, and we have the opportunity to train the next generation with God’s loving message of salvation. Increased impact happens for our students when we not only know, but live the truth as we reflect God’s grace in our own lives. Thank you for being a part of our KML family as we educate, encourage, and equip for life and eternity. Let us all continue to grow together in the grace and knowledge of Jesus Christ and live God’s way together.

To ensure a safe school environment, KML has partnered with a third-party company to screen all visitors prior to their admittance to the school building when school is in session. Visitors who plan to go beyond the Main Office should make sure they have a state-issued photo ID along with them prior to entering the building. If you are picking up SCRIP or dropping off an item for your student, this does not apply. It is only applicable if you plan to go beyond the Main Office. Thank you in advance for your cooperation!
Reporting a Student Absence
In cases where a student is absent, the parent/guardian should follow this procedure:
If an email is not sent, the parent/guardian should send a signed, written explanation (including the above required information) on the first day the student returns to school. The written excuse should be turned in to the Main Office. Failure to turn in a written excuse will result in an unexcused absence on the student’s permanent record.
Senior Picture Guidelines & Deadline
It’s time for senior pictures for students in the class of 2024! Having your senior pictures taken can be a time consuming process, so we recommend choosing a photographer and contacting him/her right away. All senior pictures must be submitted by January 15, 2024.
Because the yearbook represents Kettle Moraine Lutheran High School, we want to maintain a consistent style and format throughout the book. We do limit the pictures seniors may place in the senior portrait section of the yearbook. The yearbook staff asks that one picture be taken and submitted digitally which meets the guidelines found at kmlhs.org/seniorpics.
Senior pictures are due January 15, 2024. If we do not receive a picture by this date, the student’s ID picture will be placed in the yearbook instead. Please do not wait until the last minute.
Please feel free to contact Mrs. Rebecca Meyer (email@example.com) with any questions or concerns.

SCRIP Office Hours
If you’re looking for a volunteer opportunity, consider the KML SCRIP Office! Training is simple and done on the job. Even if you can help out 1-2 times a month, we’d love to have you! Currently we have a need for volunteers Thursday mornings and some Monday afternoons. Our volunteers are an important part of making the SCRIP program successful. If you’re interested in learning more, please contact Mrs. Michelle Zak (email@example.com).
If you’re not a current SCRIP user, now is a great time to become one! Start earning credit toward tuition/school fees, or receive a cash rebate on your purchases. If you didn’t know, you don’t have to have a student currently enrolled or be making tuition payments to benefit from SCRIP. Stop in the Main Office or visit kmlhs.org/scrip to learn more. We’d love to help you put this program to use!
