From the Principal’s Pen

Dear KML Family,

We are a week into our school year, and what a blessing it has been! There are many things I am thankful for, but here are a few:

  • We get to worship together as a KML family every single day!
  • Our KML family trusts our work together as we maneuver through so many new procedures in light of the COVID-19 pandemic.
  • Our KML students are willing to work together and set aside what they want to do to enable face to face instruction at KML.
  • God continues to watch over, provide for our safety, and bless our efforts together.

We will also continue to be transparent about COVID-19 cases at KML and share information with you on a weekly basis. We have not had any new reported cases of COVID-19 as of today. We will certainly communicate if that changes.

God Bless,

Principal Luehring

KML Culver’s Days in Jackson

The first Wednesday of every month during the school year is KML Culver’s Day at Culver’s in Jackson. SIX student names will be drawn from the class with the highest sales! Winners will receive either a value meal basket, a 2-scoop sundae, or a concrete mixer. All of this is in addition to 10% of all sales going toward KML’s capital/debt reduction fund.

Wednesday, September 2, is our first KML Culver’s Day of this school year. Be sure to bring a coupon so you can record the class and student you would like to win. If you forget to pick up a coupon at the KML Main Office or print one from our website, ask for one at Culver’s. Thank you for supporting your high school.

KML “Return to Play” Plan for WIAA Athletics

The 2020-2021 WIAA Fall Athletic Season has begun! Practices started up at KMLHS this past week for cross country, cheer, and girls golf! Football, volleyball, and boys soccer will be starting soon (Tuesday, September 8). Our fall athletes are beyond excited to have an allowance to participate and are excitedly awaiting the start of WIAA competition!

The KML “Return to Play” Plan aims to provide guidance to support health and safety best practices when our teams are at KML or on the road. This comprehensive document also shares important information for any team, or fan, visiting the KML campus. Please take note, especially, of our current fan attendance policy which limits indoor events to 2 guests* per KML student-athlete and outdoor events to 4 guests* per KML student-athlete. We appreciate your understanding and observance of these guidelines to ensure a safe and healthy season!

*Multi-school invitationals at KML have stricter attendance policies in place.

On, You Chargers!!!
