From the Principal’s Pen

Dear KML Family,

The transition to and through the high school years can be exciting and exhilarating but also challenging. We are now more than one month into our school year, and academic struggles or challenges may begin to arise. The honeymoon is over, and the hard work continues! One of our goals for your student’s high school education is to help your young adult grow from academic dependence to independence. If you find your child struggling, encourage them to go to their teachers to clarify or ask for help. It is an important skill they will use often as they continue their journey through this life! May God bless our entire KML family as we live and work in the freedom Christ has won for us all! We are here to support our students as we educate, encourage, and equip them for life and eternity.

God Bless,

Principal Luehring

COVID-19 Update

As we navigate through this pandemic together, we will continue to communicate with families who have had a child who is in the same classes, extra-curricular activities, and within 6 feet of another student who tests positive for COVID-19. We will update this report on a weekly basis to give parents the larger picture of how many cases have occurred in our student body. In order to switch to virtual, parents must notify the Main Office (262-677-4051; office@kmlhs.org).

Total Cases (August 15 – September 16): 5

  • # of Cases Returned (Completed 10 Day Quarantine + Symptom Free for 24 Hours): 5
  • # of Cases on Quarantine (Within the 10 Day Quarantine + Symptom Free for 24 Hours): 0

KML “Return to Play” Plan for WIAA Athletics

The 2020-2021 WIAA Fall Athletic Season has begun! Practices have started up at KMLHS for cross country, cheer, girls golf, football, volleyball, and boys soccer! Our fall athletes are beyond excited to have an allowance to participate and are excitedly awaiting the start of WIAA competition!

The KML “Return to Play” Plan aims to provide guidance to support health and safety best practices when our teams are at KML or on the road. This comprehensive document also shares important information for any team, or fan, visiting the KML campus. Please take note, especially, of our current fan attendance policy which limits indoor events to 2 guests* per KML student-athlete and outdoor events to 4 guests* per KML student-athlete. We appreciate your understanding and observance of these guidelines to ensure a safe and healthy season!

*Multi-school invitationals at KML have stricter attendance policies in place.

On, You Chargers!!!
