![]() September 21, 2023 From the President’s Pen Dear KML Family, We are looking forward to our special 50th Anniversary Worship Service this Sunday at 1:30 PM. It will be a kickoff to this year and, appropriately, will give all honor and praise to our generous God! As we reflect on God’s grace in the past, we can’t help but look forward to his grace for us today and the blessings which will be so evident in the future. Please say an extra prayer of gratitude for the multitude of people over our ministry’s history whom God has used to carve out this corner of Washington County for Jesus, and pray for God’s continued blessings as we build our foundation on Christ. In Jesus, President Luehring
Bids for New Facility Expansion Although the bidding process for our new facility expansion has not yet begun, we wanted to make sure we gave our KML-connected businesses a chance to be a part of that process if they desire. If your business is interested in bidding on this project, please contact Mr. Jody Hansen (jody.hansen@kmlhs.org).
National Honor Society Application Juniors and seniors with a qualifying grade point were notified via email on September 7 that they could apply to become a member of KML’s chapter of the National Honor Society. After joining the NHS Application 2023 Classroom, students can electronically submit the application form if they are interested in becoming a member. Forms are due no later than midnight Friday, September 29. Completion of the form does not guarantee membership. A committee will review the applications and decide membership. The NHS induction ceremony will be held Thursday, November 9, at 6:30 PM in the PAC. Please email Mrs. Marcie Kren (marcie.kren@kmlhs.org) with any questions.
Sport Fees The Board of Directors has established a sports fee of $50 for volleyball, basketball, and cheer and $75 for football for each participant. A sports fee of $60 has been set for all other sports where we do not charge admission to regular season home games. Student accounts will be charged for the sports fee after teams are selected (FALL sport fees will be posted in October).
Grandparents’ Days at KML KML invites the grandparents of our students to come for a visit on KML Grandparents’ Days! Select either Thursday, October 19, or Friday, October 20. Grandparents begin the day with coffee and donuts and learn more about KML, then join their grandchildren for chapel and spend the rest of the day with them, visiting classes and eating lunch together. KML is honored to provide lunch for our grandparents. (If a grandparent is unable to attend, another relative or special family friend is welcome to register.) For more information and to register, visit kmlhs.org/grandparents. Registration deadline: October 9, 2023. Registration is needed to ensure adequate food, seating, and materials. Questions? Contact Mrs. Melanie Schoeneck (262.677.4051 x4018; melanie.schoeneck@kmlhs.org).
