From the Principal’s Pen
Dear KML Family,
Our chapel topic this week has focused on the blessings we enjoy as a unified body of Christ. We are blessed to be part of a Christian community who is united in the work of Christ. As we walk the road our Lord has set before us in this life, he assures us that we never walk alone. He gives us family, friends, and relationships which foster encouragement and joy. Most of all, we have the blessing of knowing that our God is also walking with us. May God continue to bless our KML family with unity during trying times in our world!
As we navigate through this pandemic together, we will continue to communicate with families who have had a child who is in the same classes, extra-curricular activities, and whose locker is within 6 feet of another student who tests positive for COVID-19. We will update this report on a weekly basis to give parents the larger picture of how many cases have occurred in our student body. In order to switch to virtual, parents must notify the Main Office (262-677-4051; firstname.lastname@example.org).
Another interesting note is that we have done approximately 12,500 morning temperature checks and have had to send 0 students home with a fever. Thank you for continuing to monitor students’ health before they arrive at school.
KML “Return to Play” Plan for WIAA Athletics
The 2020-2021 WIAA Fall Athletic Season has begun! Practices have started up at KMLHS for cross country, cheer, girls golf, football, volleyball, and boys soccer! Our fall athletes are beyond excited to have an allowance to participate and are excitedly awaiting the start of WIAA competition!
The KML “Return to Play” Plan aims to provide guidance to support health and safety best practices when our teams are at KML or on the road. This comprehensive document also shares important information for any team, or fan, visiting the KML campus. Please take note, especially, of our current fan attendance policy which limits indoor events to 2 guests* per KML student-athlete and outdoor events to 4 guests* per KML student-athlete. We appreciate your understanding and observance of these guidelines to ensure a safe and healthy season!
*Multi-school invitationals at KML have stricter attendance policies in place.
