From the President’s Pen

Dear KML Family,

It is one of my favorite Psalms – Be still, and know that I am God. (Psalm 46:10, NIV) Sin creates so much upheaval and challenge in our world that it can feel out of control at times. What a blessing to know we have a Savior who has overcome the world! As we pursue our work at KML, built on the foundation of the truth of God’s Word, we realize that our faith reflects the trust we have in our God. In a small whisper, he tells us he has all things in his powerful hands, and he truly cares for each of us. We recognize his greatness and love for us which motivate us to live for him and according to his ways. The result is an awesome culture of Christian love. What a blessing!

KML Culver’s Day in Jackson

Wednesday, October 4, is KML Culver’s Day at Culver’s in Jackson. Student names will be drawn from the class with the highest sales! Winners will receive either a value meal basket, a cheese curd basket, or a concrete mixer. Congratulations to our September winners: Anthony Wolf, Jacob Hess, Jonah Klemp, William McCoy, Solomon Schmidt and Vanayah Kapler. All of this is in addition to 10% of all KML sales going toward the Let’s Grow Together capital campaign. Bring your family and friends to Culver’s during Homecoming week on Wednesday, October 4! Be sure to bring a coupon so you can record the class and student you would like to win. If you forget to print one from our website (, ask for one at Culver’s. Thank you for your school spirit and supporting your high school.


Bags & Bingo

The KML Charger Club has a big update to announce regarding the 23-24 KML Activity Calendar! Charger Club has decided to move the annual KML Trivia Night to early 2024. The new date will be shared soon. In its place, the Charger Club will instead host a brand new BAGS & BINGO Event on October 14, 2023, at 5:00 PM. We hope you can join us for this great NEW event!

When: October, 14, 2023, at 5:00 PM

Where: KML Campus

Bags Tournament: (high school age and above)

  • Must enter a 2-person team for a total of $20.
  • The bags bracket will be determined & communicated several days prior to 10/14, based on number of teams entered.
  • Boards and bags will be provided but you can bring your own bags if desired.

Bingo Event: (fun for all ages)

  • Purchase a 3-board, 10-game packet for $10
  • OR purchase as many packets for your family as you need for $30
  • Dabbers will be available or bring your own
  • Extra packets can be bought at the front door for cash

Papa Murphy’s pizza will be available for dinner via pre-order on the registration form.

Bids for New Facility Expansion

Although the bidding process for our new facility expansion has not yet begun, we wanted to make sure we gave our KML-connected businesses a chance to be a part of that process if they desire. If your business is interested in bidding on this project, please contact Mr. Jody Hansen (


National Honor Society Application

Juniors and seniors with a qualifying grade point were notified via email on September 7 that they could apply to become a member of KML’s chapter of the National Honor Society. After joining the NHS Application 2023 Classroom, students can electronically submit the application form if they are interested in becoming a member. Forms are due no later than midnight Friday, September 29. Completion of the form does not guarantee membership. A committee will review the applications and decide membership. The NHS induction ceremony will be held Thursday, November 9, at 6:30 PM in the PAC. Please email Mrs. Marcie Kren ( with any questions.


Sport Fees

The Board of Directors has established a sports fee of $50 for volleyball, basketball, and cheer and $75 for football for each participant. A sports fee of $60 has been set for all other sports where we do not charge admission to regular season home games. Student accounts will be charged for the sports fee after teams are selected (FALL sport fees will be posted in October).


Grandparents’ Days at KML

KML invites the grandparents of our students to come for a visit on KML Grandparents’ Days! Select either Thursday, October 19, or Friday, October 20. Grandparents begin the day with coffee and donuts and learn more about KML, then join their grandchildren for chapel and spend the rest of the day with them, visiting classes and eating lunch together. KML is honored to provide lunch for our grandparents. (If a grandparent is unable to attend, another relative or special family friend is welcome to register.)
