From the Principal’s Pen

We stand by God’s grace alone! The bedrock of our Christian community is the saving work of our loving God. This is evident in every class and activity at KML. As God’s Word is opened each day, the all-powerful Holy Spirit works through that Word to grow and sustain the faith of our students. As staff members, we are privileged to walk with the Holy Spirit and model our faith so we can encourage the students we serve. We pray for God’s blessings on our work together as we inspire the next generation of Christian leaders!

In Jesus,

Principal Luehring

COVID-19 Update

As we navigate through this pandemic together, we will continue to communicate with families who have had a child who is in the same classes, extra-curricular activities, and within 6 feet of another student who tests positive for COVID-19. We will update this report on a weekly basis to give parents the larger picture of how many cases have occurred in our student body. In order to switch to virtual, parents need to notify the Main Office.

  • Total Cases (August 15 – September 2): 5
  • # of Cases Returning (Completed 10 Day Quarantine + Symptom Free for 24 Hours): 1
  • # of Cases on Quarantine (Within the 10 Day Quarantine + Symptom Free for 24 Hours): 4

God Bless,

Principal Luehring

KML “Return to Play” Plan for WIAA Athletics

The 2020-2021 WIAA Fall Athletic Season has begun! Practices recently started up at KMLHS for cross country, cheer, and girls golf! Football, volleyball, and boys soccer will be starting soon (Tuesday, September 8). Our fall athletes are beyond excited to have an allowance to participate and are excitedly awaiting the start of WIAA competition!

The KML “Return to Play” Plan aims to provide guidance to support health and safety best practices when our teams are at KML or on the road. This comprehensive document also shares important information for any team, or fan, visiting the KML campus. Please take note, especially, of our current fan attendance policy which limits indoor events to 2 guests* per KML student-athlete and outdoor events to 4 guests* per KML student-athlete. We appreciate your understanding and observance of these guidelines to ensure a safe and healthy season!

*Multi-school invitationals at KML have stricter attendance policies in place.

On, You Chargers!!!

Athletic Spectator Policy for General Public

Per our KML “Return to Play Plan,” our spectator capacities are limited for FALL sports in keeping with WIAA, ECC, and Washington/Ozaukee County Health Department guidance. Fall athletes will be allocated an East Central Conference (ECC) Pass to meet our capacity guidelines. These passes are good for all KML HOME, regular season events and all AWAY conference events. ALL spectators MUST have this pass for admission into the event, no exceptions. NO admission fee will be charged for FALL regular season home events or away conference events.

At this time, unless you are issued a pass through an athlete or coach, you are unable to attend a KML athletic event. As capacity guidelines are updated, we will reassess and communicate these changes via our kmlchargers.com website or our KML social media sites.

For indoor events, we will live stream our home games at our YouTube athletics site, “KML Charger Athletics.” These are for LIVE viewing only. Be sure to subscribe for easier viewing!

Questions? Contact Mrs. Amy Nass (amy.nass@kmlhs.org).

Thank you for your understanding and support of KML athletics.
